Director
Harvey Johnson earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts, (B.F.A.) in Acting from Kent State University and his Masters of Fine Arts, (M.F.A.) in Directing from Carnegie Mellon University. Following his undergrad studies, with a new found faith in Jesus Christ as the Lord of his life, he spent several years working as an actor in the amateur and professional theatres of Cleveland, Ohio. It was during these years that he recognized his Calling and begin to receive vision and direction that would result in the founding of a training and performance organization, Doma Productions, Inc to establish the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the Arts. In addition to his work as Artistic Director of Doma Productions, he keeps himself busy as a freelance director and actor. As an actor he finds work in numerous local, regional and national commercials and industrials. His directing credits include Asbury’s 2025 production of The Tempest, as well as for professional and amateur theatre companies including Saltworks Theatre Company, The Kuntu Repertory Theatre, The MasterWorks Festival and The Karamu and Ensemble Theatres of Cleveland, Ohio. Though he calls Pennsylvania home, he has enjoyed spending the 2025 & 2026 fall semesters here at Asbury as an adjunct faculty teaching directing and acting.
