Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches Cast

Josiah Clifton (Louis)
is a Sophomore Theater major here at Whitworth. When not doing theater, he likes to dance, climb and jump on things. He hopes you enjoy the show.
Ayush Bharati (Henry, Martin, Man in the Park, Angel)
is a junior studying Bioinformatics and a minor in Theater. Angels in America is a second theater production that he’s involved in after Hindsight. He says he is thankful for the Theatre department to be able to do shows in person.
Ibrahim Diop (Mr. Lifes, Belize)
is a junior with an area of concentration major in psychology and sociology. He runs cross country and track & field and is involved in several on-campus clubs at Whitworth. This is his first time acting and was inspired by watching a lot of movies and shows while having to stay home, because of COVID! Ibrahim loves trying new things, having an open mind and heart. Finally, Ibrahim thanks his family, friends, and other cast members.
Sarah Hull (Roy Cohn)
is a junior at Whitworth University studying theatre, communications, and political science. Previously at Whitworth she has performed in ANTIGONE as Haemon, HINDSIGHT as Hollis, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM as Titania, as well as multiple senior projects. Some of her favorite productions she has performed in include A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER (Spokane Civic Theatre), ALMOST, MAINE (Musical Theatre Performance Academy), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Theatre Arts Guild & SVC), and THE LITTLE MERMAID (M.E.T.A.). She also works as a character performer for Dreams are Forever Events, and Wish Upon a Star Events.
Kathryn Ludlam (Rabbi, Woman, Prior 1, Ethel, Angel)
is a senior at Whitworth University studying speech communications and theatre. She was involved in last year’s mainstage production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM as Hermia and a student production of 5 DEGREES OF SEPARATION. She would like to thank the cast of strong women for telling this story with her, Naphtali for her support and guidance, and her family and friends for their constant love.
Jared McDougall (Prior)
is a freshman studying Secondary Education, English, and Theatre. After working as an assistant stage manager for ANTIGONE, Jared is beyond thrilled to perform in ANGELS IN AMERICA as his first Whitworth mainstage acting credit. He pours out his gratitude to the cast and crew of this show and to everyone who welcomed him into Whitworth’s theatre department with open arms.
Rowenna Nelson (Hannah Pitt)
is a senior Theatre/Social Studies/Secondary Education Major. She is playing the role of Hannah Pitt and wants to thank her family and friends who have helped her explore her artistry.
Maddie Nowicki (Emily, Sister Ella Chapter, Prior 2)
is a first year student at Whitworth studying Criminology and Criminal Justice. Favorite past productions include STARDUST and NEWSIES. Maddie would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support in everything she does.
Alina Sunoo (Harper Pitt)
is a senior at Whitworth University majoring in Theatre and minoring in Spanish, Peace Studies, and Honors. Some of her favorite roles at Whitworth include Helena in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Henrietta Leavitt in SILENT SKY, and performing in the rotating ensemble of ALMOST, MAINE. She would like to thank her family for their support and Andy for always inspiring her to grow as an artist.
Josiah Vander Griend (Joe Pitt)
is a first-year student and a Psychology Major. He is a member of “Cool Whip,” Whitworth’s Improv Club, and also a member of Whitworth Choir. Some of his past favorite roles include Mr. Darcy in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, and Barnaby in HELLO DOLLY! He would like to thank his directors, Andy and Anna for helping him discover more about his character, and the supportive castmates that push him to work his hardest!
