About The Audition

The Audition is a play about auditioning for a high school play. We chose this show not only because we all need a comedy right now, but also because we want to do something to help area theatre education programs. A lot of shows were shut down this spring due to COVID-19, and that cost a lot of educational theatre a lot of money. So we're hoping to give something to the schools. We've invited many local high school and college theatre educators to join us in this show. You'll see representatives from Union High School, Washington High School, St. Francis Borgia Regional High School, Sullivan High School, St. Clair High School, East Central College, Hermann High School, Pacific High School, and more in our virtual production of The Audition. We hope you'll consider seeing our show and maybe donating to the cause of educational theatre in our area. Enjoy!

The Riverside Players

The Riverside Players Community Theatre was established as a community theatre hoping to bring high-quality community theatre to our area. We have presented plays like The Odd Couple; The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged; and Leaving Iowa, as well as musicals such as Pippin, Assassins, 9 to 5, and Something's Afoot. We are always looking for people who would like to join us to produce theatre and who would like to see theatre. See our Facebook page and our website theriversideplayers.com for more information.
