Pete Byrne (Captain)
Pete Byrne is an improviser and filmmaker who moved from Chicago, IL to Lafayette in 2020. Pete is a graduate of The Second City’s Conservatory program where he studied improvisational comedy and sketch writing. He currently serves as Vice President on the Cité des Arts board of directors. The Captain has likely already spoken with you, but you may have seen Pete perform recently in CCT's production of 'The Real Inspector Hound', as Birdboot, in The Looking Glass Theatre Company's production of 'Hay Fever', as David Bliss and most recently in '9 to 5, The Musical,' as Dick. Pete would like to thank his family, and his wife, Renee, for their constant support and his Director, Sandra for believing in the power of his Mustache.
Mimi Delgizzi (Gina)
Michelina (Mimi) DelGizzi is an artist and educator originally from Boston, Massachusetts. She cut her teeth on the Lafayette stage as a founding member of the Lafayette-based improv group The Plural Noun and currently performs with Lafayette’s premier all-women group Rag Tag. Before that, she studied at the Improv Asylum in Boston. Her theater repertoire includes Streva Production’s Drinking Habits and the sequel Drinking Habits II, and he is excited to be performing with some of Lafayette’s greats in this production of Honeymoon From Hell.
Aren Chaisson III (Joey)
Aren Chaisson is an actor and improvisor with over 25 years experience on stage. He is from Lafayette, Louisiana and teaches Talented Theatre in Iberia Parish. His most recent performance was as Franklin Hart Jr. in The Looking Glass production of 9 to 5. Aren has performed in many productions, including John Proctor in The Crucible, Huey P. Long in The Kingfish, Dale Pittman in The North Plan, Harry "Jazzbo" Haywood in It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Lenny in Of Mice and Men, Foreman in Twelve Angry Men, Cliff in Cabaret, Officer Lockstock in Urinetown and William Shakespeare in William and Judith. In 2018 he was in his first CCT production as Jud in Oklahoma! Most recently he was seen as Max Bialystock in The Producers. Since graduating from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a BFA in Performing Arts, he has performed in NYC, Chicago, Syracuse, Alabama, Indiana, on regional and national tours, and in short films and commercials. He studied improv with Armando Diaz at the Magnet Theatre in NYC and performs with Silverbacks Improv troupe.
Christy Leichty (Freda)
Christy Leichty has years of experience in the theatre as an actor, writer, director, and teacher. She has decided that the role of Chef Freda, might be her favorite character of all time.
Ryan Kolb (Bambi)
Ryan Kolb is a senior at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette getting their degree in theatre with a concentration in directing. They have been a part of many productions, most notable being: Urinetown as Little Sally, Angels in America as Prior Walter, and coming up The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Charlito “Chip” Tolentino later in October. They are very excited to be a part of this production and look forward to working more with The Looking Glass in all their amazing theatre endeavors.
Shane Guilbeau (Al)
Shane Guilbeau has been a high school and middle school teacher in Lafayette for 25 years. He has also been involved in a number of local theater productions throughout his career.
Rose Hoffman Cormier (Tillie)
Her first time on stage was in the Dream of the Marionettes in 2009, followed by The Roadkill Diner; Chez Gisele; The Addams Family – The Musical; Big Daddy’s Last Dance; Dream of the Marionettes (2 nd production); Finding Nelson Mandela; There’s More to the Story and The Sound of Music. Rose is very excited to be in the Honeymoon from Hell and working with director, Sandra Broussard and all the amazing actors. She is thankful for the love and support of her children, Kelly and Jeff and to celebrate being a multiple cancer survivor!
Amanda Caldwell (S.S. AMORE Crew)
Amanda Caldwell is an actress, singer, and improviser located in Lafayette. Since a young age, she has been interested in performing arts and has been following her dreams ever since. Some theatre credits include, Doubt: A Parable as Sister James, Private Lives as Amanda, and Crimes of the Heart as Babe. You can also see her in films, such as, Pumpkyn, Deja Vu, and, most recently, MIA. Amanda studied Theatre at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received a BFA. Other than acting, you can see her performing in the Lafayette improv scene with The Plural Noun and The Marvelous Misfits. She also enjoys writing songs and poetry and is currently learning guitar and Spanish.
Jody Powell (S.S. AMORE Crew)
Jody L. Powell, a theatre enthusiast, has been active in theatre production for 45 years, primarily with Eunice Players' Theatre in her hometown. Having directed, acted in, or handled set, costume, and tech booth duties for over 100 shows, she has enjoyed working with local companies including LRE, Acadiana Repertory Theatre, Opelousas Little Theatre, The Tea Sippers Theatre Company, and now, The Looking Glass Theater Co. She dedicates her work on this show to the memories of Andrew Lee Vincent, Walter, Bob, and Milton.
Tara Rivers (S.S. AMORE Crew)
Tara has been doing improv locally for several years and is in an improv duo Marvelous Misfits. She loves theater and enjoys performing and watching it. During the day she works in the financial industry and hangs out with her family and pets. Her goal for this show is to make sure everyone has fun tonight. So anchors away and enjoy the cruise!
Claudia Wright (S.S. AMORE Crew)
Claudia is 16 years old and in 11th grade at Comeaux High, where she studies theatre in the Performing Arts Academy. She has appeared in many Wonderland Performing Arts productions, her most recent being Clue as Wadsworth. She has also been in Les Miserables, Seussical Jr as JoJo, The Addams Family, Shrek the Musical as Lord Farquaad, Legally Blonde as Margot, Heathers as Veronica. Her most recent was Tin Man in Wizard of Oz. She is excited for the show, and hopes you enjoy!
