Based on Charles Dickens’ novella, A Christmas Carol comes a musical adaptation that brings the story of Scrooge to the stage in A Christmas Carol – A New Musical by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer. This musical theater adaptation is faithful to the Charles Dickens’ novella and has been performed by professional theaters, community theaters, schools and churches in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom over and again in recent years.

This Christmas classic will bring joy and the Christmas spirit to audiences through integrating some familiar carols and songs.

The Horizon Theater was founded in 2022 by Cory and Sarah Schaeperkoetter, who both grew up in Sweetwater County. They are alumni from the Western Wyoming Community College Theater program, and have loved the arts throughout their lives.

Since opening, Horizon has produced straight plays, musicals, and musical reviews; bringing big shows like “The Wizard of Oz,” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” to Sweetwater County. “A Christmas Carol- A New Musical” was their first Christmas show, produced in December of 2022. They are proud to bring this show back again a second time, now as their 10th production!

 Horizon strives to create a theatrical environment that brings variety, community, and the arts to the county, providing an opportunity for anyone of anyone background to come and perform. Forming this theater has been a dream come true, and we want to thank everyone who made this production, and more, possible, and for the constant support and love.
