About War of the Roses

The War of the Roses, by Joseph Bissex. Adapted from the Henry VI trilogy by William Shakespeare.

Generational politics in 15th century England resulted in a confusing family tree, especially since all the men seem to be named Henry, Richard, or Edward. What I noticed about these not-often-performed plays, however, is that the relationships between fathers have an observable effect on the behaviors of their sons. The consequences of both heroism and vice can be unsettling, but especially so when seen in the actions of the young. An action-packed multimedia performance for ages 12 and up.
