A Little Princess Creative

Director
STEPHEN PETIT
Stephen is very pleased to be directing a play at his Alma Mater---Class of 2004---where he participated in every Fall Play and Spring Musical (and various other theatrical events) each year and had a blast. Thanks to the encouragement of an inspiring Drama Teacher---the late Van Farrier---playing Eugene in Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs in 2002 led Stephen to play Jay a year later in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers at the Majestic Theater in West Springfield. He is very grateful to have been involved with the Majestic ever since, stepping into the roles of Production Manager and Director of Summer Children’s Theater in 2013. Prior to the pandemic, Stephen had just completed directing his 7th season (and 22nd production) of the Majestic’s Summer Children’s Theater---for which he also owes thanks to Van Farrier, who created the program in 2005 and directed its first four seasons. Stephen has also acted as Playwright for one of the three shows each season, writing original adaptations of many classic children’s stories; The play you are seeing today, A Little Princess, debuted at the Majestic in 2016. Stephen just completed directing the adult comedy Don’t Dress for Dinner, currently running at the Majestic, and is looking forward to directing the Majestic’s beloved annual Christmas concert Home for the Holidays. Stephen has also occasionally been seen on the stage at the Majestic, most recently as Mozart in 2016’s Amadeus. BFA in Literature. AEA member. Many thanks to this sharp and talented cast. Many thanks to the Majestic Theater, especially Danny Eaton (Producing Director), Todd Kadis (Treasurer), Aurora Ferraro (Associate Producing Director), and my Co-Playwright Andrew Eaton. And many thanks to the staff at SRS, especially Ms. Grunwald, Mr. Quinn, Mr. Bladyka, and Mr. Fitzgerald. A special thank you to Dave LeTellier, Frank Croke, and the now “original” cast of 2016’s A Little Princess. In loving memory of Van Farrier and Lexy Stopa. Love and thanks to Katie Sloan.
