In the spring of 2020, I was working at the Nashville School of the Arts on this exact show. As everything shut down, so did our chances of performing one of the most beautiful pieces of theatre I had ever experienced, and the hard work of our students was never seen. As my current students can attest (because I've said it to them countless times), I knew that I would revisit this island and the characters promenading across it, but I would need the perfect group of students and teaching artists to work on it with me. I am so proud to say that this group you're about to see, those onstage and off, have far exceeded all of those hopes. Sunday in the Park with George is not your typical, flashy musical. It doesn't have the big song & dance or the two-story set or the 70 student cast. It doesn't need them. Instead, it has a gorgeous story of artistic passion and connection. It has beautiful, meaningful music written by the unmatched Stephen Sondheim. It even has some lasers, but we'll get to those after intermission! It has taken an army to make this show happen, and I want to give a huge shout out to my directing team, Mr. Owen Ladd and Ms. Chelsea Glass, to the amazingly talented Mrs. Allison Cowan for her work leading the pit orchestra, my student teacher Ms. Zoe Snell, and to all the production help I received from Ms. Ana Zaragoza and Ms. Madison Flannery. This piece could not have been half as beautiful without them. Thank you all for coming! I hope this show brings you a little color and light!

Orchestra Director
Allison Cowan
Allison Cowan has 17 years of experience teaching Orchestra and Guitar. A native of Nashville, Mrs. Cowan went to DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana where she studied violin performance. During that time, she performed with the Indianapolis Symphony, the Chicago Lyric Opera, and the Bath Camerata in England. After returning to Nashville, Mrs. Cowan continued to perform with area symphonies, ran a very successful private studio, and recorded with several area artists. Eventually, she discovered her love of the classroom and returned to school, receiving her degree and licensure in Music Education. In 2012, Mrs. Cowan was hired by Williamson County Schools to help build Orchestra programs across the district. She was the founding director of the Ravenwood Orchestra, the Centennial Orchestra, and the Woodland Middle School Orchestra. As the programs grew, Mrs. Cowan moved full time to Centennial High School where she spent the next 12 years. During that time, Centennial Orchestra became the first Orchestra in Tennessee accepted in the National Orchestra Festival through the American String Teacher Association. She was named by School Band and Orchestra Magazine as one of the “50 Directors Who Make a Difference”. She created the largest guitar program in the state and has been featured in several magazines. Mrs. Cowan returned to Ravenwood High School full time in 2023. In 2024, the Ravenwood Chamber Orchestra was one of only three Orchestras in the state to be honored as an Orchestra of Distinction due to their perfect scores at Concert Performance Assessment. On top of teaching, Mrs. Cowan is serving as President of the Tennessee Chapter of the American String Teacher Association and Williamson County District PLT Lead for Orchestra.

Assistant Director
Chelsea Glass
Chelsea Glass, Spanish Teacher, is grateful to have been able to assist with Ravenwood’s production of Sunday In The Park With George alongside the marvelous Mr. B and Mr. Ladd! After taking acting classes at the university level, touring with her university’s theatre troupe, and participating in live sketch comedy, she started her coaching career in 2017 at Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences where she coached young actors through directed studies for three years. She then taught Theatre I for two years and directed a K-12 production of The Sound of Music. Since then, she has taken the stage as an actress many times. Ms. Glass loves to work with young actors to help them find their voices as actors and as people. She is VERY proud of all of our talented young actors and crew members and wishes them all the best as they tell this wonderful story! To our seniors: You are magnificent, keep telling stories, and keep HAVING FUN! Love, Ms. Glass

Stage Manager/Deck Manager
Anna Feitel (12)
Anna is overwhelmed with joy to have spent the past four years with her best friends doing her absolute dream job. This is her ninth and final show as Stage/Deck Manager. She would like to thank her parents for being so begrudgingly supportive of such a time-consuming job, Mr. B for putting up with her over-the-top fog ideas, and the random guy in middle school who told her how bossy she was. If you are wondering what Anna will do after the show closes, locate the nearest bed as she will be resting her back after carrying the department (and Jack's bios) for four years. Please enjoy Anna's final act before she embarks on her journey to her final resting place in New York City, where she will finally experience good theater. One final time, enjoy the show!

Stage Manager/Program + Web Design
Leila Faddoul (12)
Leila is so excited to be apart of her 8th and final Ravenwood production. This is her 2nd show as a stage manager, 4th show on the cast, and 8th show as the program and web designer. She would like to give a huge shoutout to her family for always willing to take her brother home because of rehearsals. She would like to thank her directors for always inspiring her to be better and throwing pretzels at her (*cough Mr B cough*). She would like to thank all of her friends in theater who have made the 4 hour rehearsals somewhat enjoyable and for everyone in cast and crew who put their hardwork into this show! Leaving Ravenwood behind is bittersweet, but she is so thrilled to never do AP stats work again. Finally, for everyone reading this playbill, thank you for not initially throwing it away. (If you did, dont tell her she will cry). As for her final resting place, she doesnt know... ask her in a few days! She hopes you have a wonderful day off in the park with George and for one final time: please enjoy the show!

Stage Manager/Foreman
Jack Poladian (12)
Jack is over the moon that this is his final show as Stage Manager/Set Designer at Ravenwood. He would like to thank the incredible cast and crew of this show for giving him a great four years. But before he goes, Jack has one final confession to make. For the past four years, Anna Feitel has written every single one of his bios; in fact, she has also written this one. He would like to apologize to her for putting her through all this work, in addition to her already overwhelming workload, and for the stress he has caused her over the years. Not only is this his final show, but this is his final anything as Jack plans to venture to the Great Beyond and his final resting place of West Lafayette, Indiana. Enjoy the final show!

Front of House welcomes you to Sunday in the Park With George! Please enjoy the plethora of dots that we cut out just for this show. So. Many. Circles. So many you could propably rip one off the wall, and we would not notice, except we will, because then the wall would look weird. Thank you so much for all your money :) But seriously, this team of wonderful people has made working on this show so much more fun, and we all hope you enjoy the show!!

The lighting team is so thrilled for you all to see this show! Sadly, this is Elle's eighth and final show and she will miss this theater department along with many of the people involved very much. She knows that this department will be in great hands once she's gone and loves all of her booth babes dearly. This is Brady's fifth show and he is the legacy of this lighting department, so definetly come back for later shows as well! So for now, sit back and enjoy the color and light painted across the stage!

Scenic painting loves painting intricate, bright set designs. This production, however, was mostly inspired by the concept of us spending the paint budget on sonic trips and coffee, leaving only 10 gallons of ’eggshell white‘ in the shop. We would like to thank the lighting designer for doing 90% of the painting work.

As it's Jack Poladian's last show and every other senior in build crew, he will have to say goodbye to his build crew minions helping him build the wonderfull sets that Mr.B and Jack disigned together. They have laughed and built so many sets and memories together and have had the best time together over the past 4 years. Jack will pass on the 2by4 to the next generation of set designers and builders who come after him.
