Coro Verde (Beginning Treble Choir)
Coro Verde (CHORUS 1) is an introductory experience of choral music intended for women grades 9-12 who have never taken music at a high school level before that performs all styles of historical, sacred and secular choral literature. The focus of this class is to develop basic musicianship skills necessary for success in the choral program with an emphasis on sight reading and choral singing through the medium of performance preparation. Rehearsal and performance techniques as well as procedures are studied and developed. No audition is necessary to participate in Coro Verde. This choir will join Intermezzo to present "Tidings of Comfort and Joy" as well as join the choral and band programs to present "A Polar Express Medley" and "Holiday Favorites."
Intermezzo (Intermediate Treble Choir)

Vocal Corps (Tenor/Bass Choir (9-12))
Vocal Corps (VOCAL ENSEMBLE 3) is an introductory experience of choral music intended for men grades 9-12 who have never taken music at a high school level before that performs all styles of historical, sacred and secular choral literature. The focus of this class is to develop basic musicianship skills necessary for success in the choral program with an emphasis on sight reading and choral singing through the medium of performance preparation. Rehearsal and performance techniques as well as procedures are studied and developed. No audition is necessary to participate in Vocal Corps. This choir will dazzle the audience with their rendition of "Christmas in about 3 Minutes." In celebration of the holiday spirit, they will also join the choral and band programs to present "A Polar Express Medley" and "Holiday Favorites."
Bella Voce (Advanced Treble Choir)
Bella Voce (CHORUS 3) is designed for the most experienced female choral singers in the department who are ready for an advanced level of treble repertoire and skill sets. The advanced treble ensemble performs all styles of historical, sacred and secular choral literature. It is open to grades 10-12 by audition. Students will receive advanced vocal and musicianship training in regards to theory, sight-reading, and choral singing through the medium of performance preparation. This choir will illustrate a winter landscape with "Tundra." Enjoy a jazzy ballet scene with "Jazz Waltz of the Sugar Plum Fairy," featuring Paige Aiello as our Sugar Plum. In celebration of the holiday spirit, they will also join the choral and band programs to present "A Polar Express Medley" and "Holiday Favorites."
SoLa Voce (Advanced Mixed Choir)
SoLa Voce (CHORUS 6 HONORS) is an advanced mixed choral ensemble, primarily open to students Grade 10-12 by audition. The choir performs all styles of historical, sacred and secular choral literature. Students will receive advanced vocal and musicianship training in regards to theory, sight-reading, and choral singing through the medium of performance preparation. This choir will share the reverent Christmas story through "There is Faint Music" as seen through the eyes of Mary as well as "The Little Drummer Boy," which will feature our Symphonic Winds. Enjoy the classic "Carol of the Bells" and a humorous nod to the classic holiday movie with the "Theme from Elf." In celebration of the holiday spirit, they will also join the choral and band programs to present "A Polar Express Medley" and "Holiday Favorites."

Koa Riquino (Student Accompanist)
Koa is a sophomore at Lake Minneola High School and an active member of our choral program. He sings baritone in SoLa Voce and also takes AP Music Theory. An avid musician and performer, Koa loves all aspect of music and is excited to perform with his friends!
Angela Georges (Student Accompanist)
Angela Georges is a senior at Lake Minneola High School and not only performs in Sola Voce but also in Marching Green and Gold and Shades of Green Jazz Band.
Amy McGrath (Collaborative Pianist)
Amy Federico McGrath is an active music educator, performer and arts advocate in the greater New York area. She received her bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College with a double concentration in piano and voice and her master’s from Stony Brook University. Post master’s work includes courses at the Hartt School of Music, Syracuse University, Hofstra University, Boston University, and Manhattan School of Music. She began her teaching career in the Sayville School District where she conducted award winning choruses, directed the musical theater program and was a founding member of the Sayville Music Boosters for the Arts. Mrs. McGrath also taught in the Bethpage School District where she directed various elementary choral ensembles and taught classroom music. In 1999 her elementary chorus was chosen by the Long Island Philharmonic Orchestra to tour Long Island performing the world premiere of a new work by contemporary composer Richard Shattenkirk. Her various choruses have also sung at the state capitol and she has conducted various workshops for music educators throughout the Northeast. She has conducted All-County choruses upstate, in Suffolk County, and the Nassau County Peak Festival Chorus. She has also worked as a consultant in educational publishing for Random House and Scott Foresman.
