Buckingham Browne & Nichols School

The BB&N Upper School Theater Program is dedicated to being the creative voice of our school's mission and values. We believe that theater is for everyone; and all our students are strongly encouraged to participate in our shows, classes or devised pieces. We continue to seek ways in which we can develop our students ‘creative platforms’ so they can tell stories exploring their interests and passions. We are a program keenly aware that the ecology of theater is as wide and varied as our world. Our ensemble pieces are dedicated to explore the theatrical skills and techniques employed around the globe.

We operate on a four year cycle, case in point being our Musical Production program; enabling students to explore multiple theater artists and styles. Recent shows include, Mary Poppins, Dream The Musical, Into the Woods, and Chicago.

“None of this work would be possible without the talent, time and effort of the students, the faculty and staff involved, and to everyone for all the roles played in helping each and every show to that ‘first night’. Whether it's providing lifts to student actors, or to members of administration helping to navigate the myriad of logistical conflicts. To all I am forever grateful”. Ross MacDonald

We'd be remiss if we didn't also acknowledge the generous support of individuals and their families, as well as to all of those for particular help in this production.
