Flyin' West Cast

Brielle Bertrand (Sophie Washington) is a Sophomore at Bowie State university majoring in Theatre Art with a concentration in Acting and Directing. She has eight years of theatre experience and has the ability to hold a note or two. She also had outside experience with theatre and film. Credits: School girl in Policing Joy (Tracey Renee Productions); Daughters of God in Esther (IAMAMANPRODUCTIONS); Nya understudy/ensemble in Pipeline, Lorrell in Dreamgirls (Bowie State University Theatre).

Asjah Johnson is a 23-year-old senior at Bowie State University, working towards a bachelor's in theatre. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, listening to music, and making skits for her social media platforms. Asjah has sung with a well-known choir and played in minor theatre productions. Performances: The Wiz, Annie, Sister Act, Cinderella, and Dreamgirls. Her goal is to own a production company where she can create movies and shows to entertain people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds.

Cyan Williams is a theatrical artist currently working in many upcoming shows and productions. She has acted for four years prior to and during COVID-19. She is a freshman majoring in Theater Arts with a concentration in Acting/Directing here at Bowie State University. Recent Credits: Little Shop of Horrors (Mesa Ridge HS); Medea (Mesa Ridge HS); Almost Maine (Mesa Ridge HS); Working (Jackson Reed HS); Flying West (Bowie State University).

Justin Nembhard is a Junior at Bowie State University. He was born and raised in Queens, New York. He is a theater arts major with a concentration in Acting and Directing. This will be his first production since he was 10 years old. Justin is working towards making his own production company and becoming an actor in the film industry.

Xxavier Boone (he/him) is an actor and spoken word artist currently in his second year at Bowie State University. Flyin West will mark his third starring role in a production and his first at Bowie State. He has assisted with previous showings of Pipeline as an ensemble member and in Dreamgirls as a part of stage crew. Outside of theatre, He has performed poetry at the Mead Center for American Theatre, the Kennedy Center, and the Austrian Embassy.

Amari Chambers is a senior Theatre Arts major. Readings and virtual performances include Harlem Duet (Billie), Rules of the Game (Girl Angel), Before Closing Time (Robbie), Everybody (God and Friendship). She recently starred in Another Cinderella Story, written and directed by Rashaud Matthews. This is her first main stage role at BSU and she is more than excited. She hopes everyone in the audience understands the importance of the story being told and hopes you enjoy the show.
