Inge Klopping
Inge Klopping has been a director, actor, producer, stage manager, and lighting and sound tech for over the last 30 years. Her theater experience includes working with Waterville Playshop, 3B Productions, the Toledo Rep, the Toledo Opera, BGSU’s summer theater, and, of course, Black Swamp Players. Some of her directing credits include Psych, Baby the Musical, Children of Eden, The Wizard of Oz, and Death by Golf. She is an adjudicator for Ohio Community Theater Association and has served as the NW Ohio Regional Representative. In addition, Inge is very involved with her community. She is a member of Toledo Museum of Art’s Education Committee, Children Resource Center Board, BG Arts Council, Kiwanis, and Black Swamp Players Board. When not involved with theater, Inge loves to spend time with her three grandchildren and travel with her husband. It has been my delight and pleasure to work with this very talented group of people! Teresa Batterson
This is Teresa’s first show with Black Swamp Players. Teresa has played in the pit orchestra for several local high school shows, most recently the Maumee High School production of Mamma Mia. Some of her favorites are The Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid, and The Pirates of Penzance. She also was music director for an early 2000s production of Oliver with Dexter Community Players in Dexter, MI. Currently, Teresa is the choir accompanist for Maumee Public Schools and an organist and cantor for Regina Coeli Catholic Church. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband, Guy, her children, Isaiah and Grace, and her cat, Shadow. Teresa also enjoys gardening, crafts, and travel, and is a voracious reader.

Stage Manager
Deb Weiser
Deb Weiser got the role of Clairee in Waterville Playshop's Steel Magnolias on her first audition ever, at age 49. Since then she has been cast in You Can't Take It With You, Dearly Departed, The Mousetrap, The Shadow Box, and more. Deb serves on the board of the Black Swamp Players; she also works on marketing and music hospitality for the Black Swamp Arts Festival. Retired from both BGSU and 13abc, Deb enjoys life in rural Wood County with her husband Chip Hutchings, whom she thanks for his on-going support of everything she does. Her two children live in Los Angeles, providing a great escape from NW Ohio's winters.

Emily Ritchie
Emily Ritchie is from Dayton, Ohio. She began her professional dance training with Barbara Pontecorvo at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios. In high school, she trained with Dayton Ballet under the direction of Karen Russo Burke. During her time at Dayton Ballet, she was a company member of Dayton Ballet II, a pre-professional training company. She enjoyed performing alongside the professional company in Karen Russo Burke’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty: The Story of Briar Rose, and Dracula Bloodlines. In Dayton Ballet School productions, she had the opportunity to perform many featured roles such as Puss and Boots and Beauty Fairy from Sleeping Beauty and Marie Taglioni’s role in Pas De Quatre. She continued her dance training over the summer at Cincinnati Ballet and Indianapolis Ballet where she had the opportunity to train with Sabir Yapparov, Victoria Lyras, and Roberta Wong. Emily is currently pursuing a Biochemistry degree with a minor in dance at Bowling Green State University. Since enrolling at BGSU, she’s had the opportunity to choreograph for BGSU’s Dance Department Concerts and received 2nd Place from The Art of Diversity Showcase (BGSU) with her original work, Still Don’t Know My Name. Additionally, Emily received the Joe E. Brown Award of Excellence as a Newcomer Dancer for the 2021-2022 Mainstage Season from BGSU’s Theatre Department. Outside of performing, she has enjoyed teaching ballet for the past three years to the next generation. Emily would like to thank her friends and family for their continuous love and support.

Laila May
My name is Laila May and I am a student at BGSU as well as a dancer of 16 years.I trained in dance technique and teaching at Hyde Park School of Dance in Chicago from age 3 to 17. I began choreographing in 2014 and teaching in 2018. I have danced with Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre and Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago as well as Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York and New York Dance Project in Florence, Italy. I deeply enjoy choreography and teaching contemporary movement as well as teaching beginner level classes to children.

Brittany Kupresanin
Brittany is excited to work with Black Swamp Players for the first time. She has performed in and choreographed for musical productions through various Northwest Ohio community theaters, including 3B Productions, Waterville Playshop, and Perrysburg Musical Theater. When not on stage, she works as a Success Coach at The University of Toledo. Brittany would like to thank Black Swamp Players for this opportunity and her husband for his endless support.
