Is God still good when life gets hard?

I’ve been sitting with that question a lot this year and I know I’m not alone. Asbury has experienced a lot of loss, illness, and hard seasons that have brought a heaviness to this campus. As a follower of Christ, I know we’re not promised an easy life. But we are promised something better: that God is present in every pit, jail, and throne room.

Sound familiar? That’s Joseph’s story too.

In our story, the attic is a place of childhood and play. Our eleven friends find themselves telling the story of Joseph — because sometimes the oldest stories are the only ones big enough to hold the questions we’re carrying now. Together they transform everyday objects into a retelling that asks the only question that matters: is God still good when life gets hard?
