The Outsiders Cast

Noemi Reiser '27 (Ponyboy Curtis)
I’m playing out lead role of Ponyboy Curtis for two of our four shows and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more happier in a role! I’ve played Yvette in clue, Veruca in Charlie and the chocolate factory and a minor role in our Cinderella and the Birkenstock performance and I can always say this theater has been such a safe place for me. I’ve loved every moment playing pony because I see myself so much in him so playing a character where I just get to be myself is such honor. I can’t express how much love I have for the outsiders and even being apart of it just makes it seem so unbelievable! I’d like to shout out my sister Oc who’s always been there for me and even kickstarted my love for theater when we were younger. She’s helped me through every performance even when she’s graduated with just supporting me. Another two I couldn’t be without are Hailey and David who make every practice so much fun just being there. I also love all the underclassmen I’ve had such the blessing to meet and work with! I love all of them deeply. With all this support I’m not only able to act but also Co direct, do costumes and help with other non acting projects. Thank you so much for seeing the outsiders because we put so much love into it!! I hope you enjoy our show!
JP Carlson '28 (Ponyboy Curtis)
I joined theater last year freshman year and I was the stage manager for both productions. Then this year I took acting a try and was casted as Mike Teavee in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and PonyBoy Curtis in The Outsiders. Outside of theater I am a varsity tennis player on Andrean’s team. I love the people in theater and the time I get to spend with them. I would LOVE to shoutout all of my cast member and just give a second to give them a second of attention and love!! I love playing PonyBoy because I get to experience how being a teenager would be like in the 1950s to slang to dress. I have loved to emotion The Outsiders conveys ever since I’ve read it in 8th grade at SJE.
Adrianna Sanchez '27 (Johnny Cade)
Hi! My name is Adrianna Sanchez, and I love all things theatre! Inside of the Andrean Theatre Company, I have transformed into many different characters, including Gretchen (Mean Girls), Mrs. Peacock (Clue), and Violet (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory). Theatre to me means that you're allowed to be yourself to the fullest with no judgment or exceptions. I'd like to thank my parents for always being my number-one supporters and pushing me to do everything to the best of my ability. I feel so honored to play a character as complex and emotional as Johnny in our performance of "The Outsiders." Outside of theatre, you can catch me in an Andrean Cheer uniform on the sidelines of a basketball/football game. I'm so excited to perform for you, and I hope you enjoy our show! :)
Mason Ewing '27 (Johnny Cade)
Hi I’m Mason! I am a junior in high school, and have done theater all three years, and plan to go to college for it… because I want to be an actor! Acting and writing are two of my biggest passions, and I love sharing my love for theater and art to everyone! Previously at Andrean, I've played Simon Howell in our production of Cinderella and the Birkenstocks, Mr. Heron in Mean Girls, Mr. Green in Clue, and Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! In this show, you can see me as Johnny Cade, a character I've always loved. I hope you enjoy the show as much as I do!!
Gio Balmaceda '29 (Bob (Soc))
I am Gio Balmaceda, and I am a freshman. I started high school at 12 years old. I am playing the role of Bob for all 4 shows. I am mainly involved in theatre and soccer. What I love about theatre is acting alongside people I know.
David Patrick '27 (Randy (Soc))
I really only do theater. I love theater and I love working with everyone, Randy is an immensely fun role to play.
Jaxon Froglia '28 (Dallas Winston)
Hello! My name’s Jaxon Froglia! I joined theatre during the second semester of my freshman year. I originally joined just to have an activity to occupy my time, but over time I realized that I really liked the art form of acting. Theatre really helped me develop as a person, and taught me many life lessons. I’d like to thank my parents and all of the friends that I’ve made from doing theatre. I’m excited to do more performances in the future!
Kailana Urbanek '28 (Dallas Winston)
Out of all of the things I have done, theater has been my favorite activity. My favorite role which has been my most recent was Veruca Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Something I've loved doing- and a common theme I've noticed- in all of my roles is being mean. Huh. Shout-out to the younger siblings that I dragged into this.
Victoria Shea '28 (Two-Bit Matthews)
I am a soccer player, wrestler, actor, and stage crew member. I love being able to act with my friends and I enjoy our theatrical community. A shout out to my older brother, Danny the headlight technician. The room would be dark without you. I like Two-Bit because he is a comedian and uses humor to lighten up a room. I love his character and the way he acts with the gang.
Olivia Perz '28 (Two-Bit Matthews)
Hi! I’m Olivia Perz, I am a sophomore and this is my third production at Andrean High School! I love theater, playing guitar, tennis, and singing. In The Outsiders, I play Two-Bit. I am SUPER excited to play this role because I love the character's sense of humor and his jokes. I would like to thank my awesome family for putting me in Shakespeare theater classes when I was younger and always encouraging me to be creative and express myself through different characters. I am looking forward to many more productions with my amazing and supportive friends from theater.
Dani Fleming '29 (Darry Curtis)
Hiii! My name is Dani & I am a freshman!! I joined Andrean theatre in the fall, but I have been singing and dancing since I could even remember. Theatre gives me an opportunity to learn and grow as a person. For this production I am playing Darry. He is the eldest of three brothers, who struggles to raise his younger siblings since his parents died. Outside of theatre, you can find me playing varsity soccer for Andrean, practicing with my guitar, & singing/dancing. Thank you so much to Ms. Marko and Ms. Grove for giving me this opportunity, my Mom and Dad for giving up so much to let me pursue my dreams, my Papa & Gigi for always being there, & God for giving me a place on this earth.
Julia Andras '28 (Darry Curtis)
Hi, I'm Julia! I am a sophomore. I’ve always wanted to do theatre since I saw my uncle perform in The Little Mermaid at CPHS. This is my fourth performance at Andrean, working as both an actor and a crew member. So far I’ve played goofy and sassy characters, so I'm excited to play a more serious character: Darry, a hardworking person, who faces the struggle of working and taking care of his younger brothers. Outside of theatre, I love singing, drawing, and playing instruments. I’d like to thank my parents for supporting and pushing me, my family who come to the shows, and my friends, who I share amazing memories with in theatre!
Henry Hartman '29 (Sodapop Curtis)
Hey, I'm Henry Hartman and I'm a freshman! I play Sodapop Curtis in Andrean's production of the Outsiders! I got started in theater because I wanted to be a sound tech. I went to rehearsals for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, last fall, just for fun. I don't know what it was that got me on that stage, but I tried out, and I'm so glad I did. I played Jerry Jubilee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but better than that, I met some of the best friends I have ever had. Sodapop is the older brother to our protagonist, Ponyboy, and somewhat of a comedic relief. I'm so glad I have the opportunity to bring this character to life! Huge shoutout to our directors Marko and Grove, we love you! Also to all of the crew, we wouldn't have a show without you guys! Ok that's all, enjoy the show!!!!!!
Hailey Baehler '27 (Cherry Valance)
Hi, my name is Hailey! This is my third year doing theatre at Andrean and my second year acting! I'm the head of media, props, and I'm a student director/fight choreographer. I absolutely love this company! Outside of theatre I enjoy playing bass guitar for my band, painting, and hanging out with my friends! Huge shout out to my mom for always supporting me! I LOVE YOU MOM, STAY GOLD!! ⭐️
Jessica Berns '29 (Cherry Valance)
I’ve loved singing and performing since I was little, always putting on shows at family gatherings and singing around the house. My first show was Godspell Junior at my middle school in 8th grade and, since then, I’ve performed as Mrs. Teavee in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to play Cherry Valance in this show I’ve loved The Outsiders since I read it in 7th grade. Cherry is stubborn, strong, and confident, all things I am so excited to portray on stage. A huge shoutout to my parents and friends who have always supported me.
Vanessa Ruiz '28 (Sandy)
Hi!!!! My name is Vanessa and I have been apart of theater since the start of my freshman year. I have worked in each of our productions as stage crew, and playing Cherry in our production of Charlie and the Chocolate factory. In our production of the Outsiders, I get the honor to play Sandy, Sodapop's girlfriend. I have always been interested in theater ever since I first saw Andrean put on Beauty and the Beast. Being in theater has brought me so much joy as I get to be around people who never fail to make me laugh, even when that means breaking character. I would love to give a shout-out to my amazing cast mates/friends who have made these experiences so much fun, to my family for always encouraging me to strive for the best, and to God for his constant protection and guidance!!!
Madalyn Pataky '27 (Marcia)
I got involved with theatre the end of my sophomore year and fell in love with it. I love all of the people I’ve met through theatre and the amazing productions we have produced. Shoutout to my parents for supporting me and keeping me positive. I play Marcia and she is Cherry’s best friend and just tries to mostly stay out of trouble.
Kaleigh Urbanek '29 (Marcia)
Hi! My name is Kaleigh and I am playing Marcia! I have been Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and a stage manager in a small production of Godspell. I do sewing as a hobby and I sewed my own skirt for my costume! The role of Marcia is special to me because it's my first female role and I get to do it in a cast filled with close friends. :)
Sy’Aire Davis '29 (Jerry (parent))
Rush Kohut '28 (Doctor)
Sophia Scalzitti '29 (Mr. Syme (ELA teacher))
I have done acting, choreo, build, and costume help! I like the opportunities and things I can do that I can't usually. Specifically build, because I get to learn how to use the tools and be like my mom's side of the family! I shout-out to my family and friends that they always support me!:) My character in Outsiders is basically the English teacher that tells Ponyboy to do his essay or else I have to fail him. DO YOUR ESSAY!
Matt Reyes '29 (Paul (Soc))
Hey, what's up ya'll? My name is Matthew Reyes and I am a freshman here at Andrean. I love theater, art, music, games, and writing. I've only really been involved in theater so far, but I plan to be involved in many more things. I love that theater is a more accepting place for all kinds of people and that you are able to express yourself as much as you want, on stage or off. I do want to thank all the people that participate in theater, the directors, and everyone who has contributed to the making of theater and the production that we are doing this spring. I would say that Paul is more of a tough type of person who totally HATES Greasers and would even beat up his old friends that have turned to their side. I mean sure he does lose a few times, but he still cares for his other Soc friends. In a way he's tough but kind in his own way. Hope y'all enjoy the show BYYEEEEEE!!!!
Senee Beeks '28 (Nurse)
In theater I’ve been particularly involved in build (in the past) or now, doing the actual acting part of the acting. What I love about theater is the like exhilarating feeling in front of people on stage. I like the fact that the character i play has been a job idea for me.
