The production offers a wide range of roles for all actors to discover their creative potential and shine Based on the classic novel and award winning motion picture, The Wizard of Oz follows the story of Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas, as she travels to the magical land of Oz to find the true meaning of “home.” . 

Cape Ann YMCA Performance Camp

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Cape Ann YMCA to see the beloved musical, The Wizard of Oz Youth Edition  performed by members of the Cape Ann YMCA's first ever Summer Performance Camp. This four week performance camp culminates in 2 performances of the classic Musical-CAY's first ever summer theatre intensive! Open to all levels of experience for young people ages 5 to 17 where they learn the basics of professional theatre as well as be part of Theatre at the CAY, a new summer tradition. Student actors have the opportunity to work with theatre professionals in all areas of production including acting, music, dance, and scenic, prop and costume design while developing self-confidence, communication and teamwork skills as well as introducing them to the skills necessary for professional theatre.
