Our Mission:

The Y Theatre Company strives to enrich community by creating a place for children of all ages and backgrounds to join together in a love of stage. In an educational and nurturing environment, we inspire tomorrow's artists through performance, classroom education, and mentorship. The Y Theatre Company encourages children to embrace diversity, grow in individuality, and cultivate relationships throughout the North Shore.

Our Programs:

The Y Theatre Co. produces full-scale musicals and plays for young actors ages 6 & up in Salem, Cape Ann, and in Manchester/Essex. Each production offers students an opportunity to join a supportive and talented theatre community where every role is given a chance to shine. Technical components including lights, sets, props, costumes, and live musicians give professional experience to new and experienced actors.

We also offer a variety of summer theatre intensive options in Salem and Gloucester, classes and workshop opportunities!

YMCA of the north Shore theatre co.

Arts programming at the Y sparks creativity in our youth. They learn to express themselves in ways they never knew possible. We offer programs to build future artists including playwriting, improv, full-scale musicals, and theatrical performances.
