Playwright
Kevin King (he/him)Kevin King is a Playwright-in-Residence at the Midwest Dramatists Center and a member of the Dramatists Guild. He was a 2016 Playwright-in-Residence in The Charlotte Street Foundation's studio residency program. His short play "๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐๐ก๐ก๐ค๐ฌ๐จ" is included in the ๐ฆ๐บ๐ถ๐๐ต & ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ฌ-๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฎ anthology. It was developed in the William Inge Festival's 2019 New Play Lab and has been produced across the country. His short play "๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐," which was part of Whim's ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ ๐๐น๐ฝ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐ฝ: ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐ค๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐, was a 2021 semi-finalist for the Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival. Around KC, his short plays have been produced by Whim, Fishtank Theatre (2013), The Barn Players (2018 & 2019), KC Horror Fest (2018), and the One-Minute Play Festival (2016). His full-length plays "Hyenas" and "They Listen" received developmental readings at Midwest Dramatists Center. Additionally, both MDC and Kansas City Public Theatre have presented developmental readings of Boxed. Director / Fight Choreography
Darrington Clark (he/him)Darrington Clark makes his Whim Productions and Kansas City theater directing debut with Boxed, and thanks you for being here!
Darrington is a professional actor, educator and director based in the KC Metro area. Darrington has been seen performing at Starlight, MTH, Spinning Tree, Coterie and Unicorn theaters in town, and Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Circa 21 and Children's Theatre of Madison regionally.
Stage Manager
Kaitlin Nelke (she/her)Kaitlin Nelke is a professional stage manager from St Louis, Missouri. She is very excited to be making her Whim Space debut on Kevin Kingโs very own play, Boxed. She would like to thank Bradley, Darrington, and Kevin for this opportunity. When sheโs not stage managing you can find her walking her dogs or watching Halloween baking shows. Her professional credits include Production Assistant for The Tempest (Heart of America Shakespeare Festival), Stage Manager for Cirque Du Wiener Dog (What if Puppets), Stage Manager for Love and Information (University of Kansas), Stage Manager for Labyrinth of Desire (University of Kansas), Production Assistant for On Your Feet (Starlight Theatre), and Production Assistant for Godspell (Starlight Theatre). She hopes you all enjoy this important piece and hopes it sparks conversations for years to come.

Bradley Meyer (he/him)Bradley Meyer is a freelance theatre designer, director, artisan and professional educator originally from Des Moines, IA. A lifelong learner, Bradley holds several degrees and most recently studied scenic design in the graduate program at UMKC. Recent Design Credits; Playing on the Periphery (Whim Productions), After All: 60 Years of Cher (Heartland Menโs Chorus), & Marys Seacole (Unicorn Theater). Upcoming; Journey to the Poles of Inaccessibility (Unicorn Theater).

Costume Designer
Karla M. Fennick (she/her)Karla is excited to be returning to Whim Productions. She has previously been costume designer for Playing on the Periphery, Alphabet Soup and Swimming in the Shallows. She also recently did the costume design for Bell Road Barn Players' Dead Man's Cell Phone.
Sound Designer/Board Op
Mable Bell (they/he)Mable is the resident Sound Designer and Board Operator for Whim Space. They also edit VO demo reels and podcasts in their spare time. Mable is excited to bring their expertise to any creative project, and bring the best out of it in anyway they can!
Lighting Designer
Ryan Urban (he/him)Ryan has been in technical theatre for 13 years and is excited to be back in the role of lighting designer.
