Director
Ms. Schalk
Congratulations to the cast! It has been so fun putting on a PLAY this year in place of our annual musical. This is my eighth year directing the talented students and every year is a memorable journey. This past year & a half as we all know has been a challenge. Everyone is truly missing the stage, but like true artists we find a way. Through this quarantine time our faithful cat Jasmine, enjoyed having us home & quite often joined in the meets making sure we were on task. Little did we know that our time with Jasmine was short as she passed suddenly this January. Though our hearts were broken we were blessed to find & adopt Princess Fiona. So our pet shenanigans continue.

Ms. Zerone
Mrs. Zerone doesn’t currently have a pet, but once had a blue Betta Fish named Johnny Shaun. She got him as a party favor from her friend’s Sweet 16 when she was in High School. He was a good fish and lived for 8 years. One day, Mrs. Zerone thought he could use a friend so she got another Betta Fish named Rascal. Unfortunately, Mrs. Z didn’t know that Betta Fish are fighters and can’t be in the same tank, so Johnny lost his battle against Rascal. She would like to dedicate this performance of Pets in Quarantine to Johnny Shaun the Betta Fish (2002-2010).

Mr. Rubenstein
Mr. Rubenstein has a pet Goldfish named Stifler. Stifler joined the Rubenstein family 4 summers ago when Mr. Rubenstein saved his life at the carnival. You see, Stifler belonged to another human, but that human accidentally knocked over his little glass bowl at the Whac-a-Mole game. Stifler was just about to get squished by a giant hammer, but Mr. Rubenstein saw and scooped him up, nearly getting hit himself. Mr. Rubenstein and Stifler have been best friends ever since.

Mr. Gonzalez
Mr. Gonzalez has two cats, a dog, a snake, a box turtle, and fish. His family members wanted animals because they’re all enthusiastic animal lovers. Being the only male in the house, aside from Merlin the Snake, isn’t as challenging as you may think. No one wants to watch DragonballZ, no one enjoys watching boxing, and no one blames you when the Pantene conditioner runs out. The dog absolutely loves being pet by him thus, Mr. Gonzalez usually just forgets about all the other animals.

Mr. Abruscato
Mr. Abruscato is a big fan of all sea creatures. In fact, he’s such a big fan that he built an aquarium in his own home! Included are various types of fish, sharks, and whales but his personal favorite is his dolphin named Buddy. Together, Mr. Abruscato and Buddy enjoy painting, baking souffles, and listening to college acapella music. Mr. A would like to thank Buddy for his assistance in painting Annabelle’s fish tank for Pets in Quarantine.

Mr. Johnson
Mr. Johnson and Hollister the cow had a legen-dairy friendship. At the age of 6, Mr. Johnson found Hollister in a field all alone, and in a bad moooood. Mr. Johnson offered a brick of salt, and Hollister was udderly delighted. After that, they quickly became friends and never, ever had beef with each other. They enjoyed watching mooooovies, and played in a band together. They made beautiful mooooosic! Years later, Hollister was chosen to be the first cow to travel to the mooooooon because of his amazing knowledge of cow-culus, but sadly got lost in the milky way. Thanks to Hollister for all of the good times and being the best pet/friend ever.
