Stage Manager
Paula Amundson
Paula is thrilled to serve in her first Stage Manager role for Gaslight, mostly because it gives her an excuse to carry a clipboard and look extremely important. She previously served as a Prop-Maker Extraordinaire for several WLAC youth productions, including The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Alice in Wonderland, A Wrinkle in Time, The Book of Everything, and Silent Sky. Paula has crafted all sorts of props from breakable (candy) glass panes, to a fishbowl that instantly turned from water to wine when touched by Jesus! When Paula isn’t skulking around backstage like a friendly theatre goblin, she moonlights as the HR Manager at Russell Stover Chocolates, a job where she also makes sense of chaos among groups of people… just with fewer costumes and more chocolate. Paula firmly believes props are like teenagers—if one goes missing, it usually shows up five minutes before showtime acting like nothing happened. She sends a huge shout-out to her teenager, for inspiring her to join the theater and patiently listening to her talk about props way more than any family member reasonably should.
