Peter and the Starcatcher Cast
Nathaniel Arango (Boy)I have performed in several VTC and EHS shows including Legally Blonde, Mama Mia, the Play that Goes Wrong, and the Odd Couple! Outside of my famed talents of stagecraft, I enjoy writing music, short stories, and films, and I love playing soccer!
Claire Bicchieri (Alf)Stories bring us together. Claire has always found immense joy and fulfillment in bringing those stories to life through singing, dancing, acting, and creating visual art. Growing up in Ellensburg, she had numerous and varied opportunities to dance, act, sing, and help with sets for high school musicals such as "The Pajama Game," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Into the Woods." Claire continued to pursue this passion during her undergraduate education (which included two years of Applied Voice lessons and a senior recital), earning the role of Hysterium in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," and Violet in "9 to 5!" Even during her Peace Corps service, she facilitated a week-long musical theater camp for youth health education in Spanish. Claire is grateful to be back in her hometown - a rich community of the arts - and to be a part of that community once again with her first role ever in a Valley Theater Company production.
Brock Bowers (Smee / Gregors)Brock Bowers is excited to be returning to Valley Theater Company, where he made his community theatre debut as Noah Claypole in Lionel Bart’s “Oliver!” After performing in nine out of eight possible shows (yes, you heard that right!) over his four years at Ellensburg High School, Brock went on to study theatre performance at Seattle Pacific university, where he was nominated for two Irene Ryan Awards as Donatello the sculptor in SPU’s devised piece “Held Together” in his first year, and as The Old Man in PigPen Theatre Co.’s “The Old Man and The Old Moon” in his fourth year at SPU. Brock has also studied classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). He has also just finished up his second season with Leavenworth Summer Theater. He is currently studying at CWU, where he is also a member of Central’s improv group “The Hot New Jam.” Brock finds so much joy in the theatre, in addition to performing, he enjoys carpentry work and set construction, stage combat, shadowing directors, almost ANYTHING theatre related gives him life!
Rebekah Bresee (Slank / Hawking Clam)This is Rebekah’s first VTC production! She recently moved to Ellensburg after accepting a job at CWU, and is happy to have found this theater family. While her acting days go back to elementary age, her most recent theater involvement was with Masquers Theater in Soap Lake where she was the stage manager for their production of Elf the Musical. She is excited to be back on stage with her fun and awesome cast members!
Ruth Bresee (Fighting Prawn / Sanchez)Ruth Bresee has been doing theater since a very young age and is excited to find herself in a new community theater taking part in the arts alongside amazing people. She most recently starred in Anastasia as Olga Romanov/Ensemble with Valley Theatre Company, Once on this Island as Ti Moune with Masquers Theater, and Ordinary Days as Deb with Quincy Valley Allied Arts. Ruth likes to involve herself in theater in many different ways including sound/tech, costumes, set building, choreographing, and, of course, participating on the stage. Ruth loves music, dance, traveling, family, friends, and fun, and she is beyond excited to be part of this show!
Ben Carter (Captain Robert Falcon Scott / Mack)Ben is an aspiring actor, and has been acting since he was eight. He has been in many shows, most recently in EHS’s production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, VTC’s The Phantom Tollbooth Jr., and MCT’s production of Johnny Appleseed.
Jared Carter (Lord Leonard Aster)Jared is a teacher by trade and by choice, teaching high school math and driver's ed. Jared is married with 5 children, and has been involved with theater ever since he was a kid. He has been involved in almost every aspect of theater since, including set construction, lighting, backstage crew, and performing. Jared has been involved with Valley Theater company for years, working in all the previous areas mentioned. Most recently he was on stage in "The Odd Couple" as Vinny, and working on the spotlight for "Anastasia", and was a party parent in EDE's recent Nutcracker.
Allison Cleman (Molly Aster)Acting and music have been life long passions of mine. I have always found the stage to be a place where I feel the most welcome and at home. I have had the pleasure of acting in two starring roles in my career. I played Jo March in my high school's production of Little Women and recently portrayed the fabulous Miss Adelaide in Warehouse Company Theatre's production of Guys and Dolls. I have had many roles in between, including Cecily Pigeion in Winter Play, The Odd Couple. Between The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, Harry Potter and now Peter Pan and the Star Catcher, Ellensburg theatre has had a year chalked full of fantasy, and I am loving being a part of the ride!
Grace Englehart (Prentiss)Grace Englehart is a local theatre artist and educator who has always had a special connection to Neverland; having played Tink in high school and character entertainment, and chased Captain Hook(dad) all around the yard as a little girl. She has enjoyed being a part of VTC's productions , including Cabernet Cabaret, Anastasia(Maria Romanov/Ensemble), The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood(Director), 9 to 5(Kathy/Ensemble), and The One-At Play That Goes Wrong( Annie). She earned her BFA in Theatre Education from CWU, and lives happily with her husband and kitty in the 'Burg.
Emily Haemmelmann (Grempkin / Teacher)Emily started doing theatre when she was 11 years old and has loved it ever since. She has been a part of about 14 shows and has performed in countless other opportunities. Even though she is the only theatrical member of her family, they have always shown their support and come to every show. Emily hopes to continue to perform for a long time and show her family more of this world that she loves so much.
Jonathan Leonard (Mrs. Bumbrake)It seems like a lifetime ago since Jonathan last performed-- 20 years ago on the Morgan stage in Anything Goes! On that stage, a lifetime ago, he played lots of roles in a decade worth of shows (Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance, Motel in Fiddler on the Roof & lots of others). He's dived back into theatre in part to support his kids and their desire to be on stage. Most recently he was seen in VTC’s Anastasia the Musical as Count Leopold. Jonathan is excited to work to build great shows with the talented humans in our community.
Kyle Nolan (Black Stache)Happy to fuel his addiction to theatre yet again, Kyle is super stoked to be in VTC's production of Peter and the Starcatcher! He has previously been a part of several shows over the years with his favorite roles being Lumière in Beauty and the Beast and Chris Bean in The One Act Play that Goes Wrong. When he's not on stage, Kyle can be found cycling through every stage of grief over his computer science homework by day, but by night, he's rolling dice while acting out a goblin's death throes in games of D&D that he runs for friends and clients around town. He wants to thank his friends and family for their constant love and support, and he hopes that you enjoy the show!
Taylor Solomon (Ted)Taylor is so excited to be joining the VTC family! Growing up in the theater, she has always had a strong connection to the arts. Taylor is a singer and guitarist and was part of the EHS Fall Play production of 12 Angry Men. She is also an animator and frequently shares her work on her Instagram and YouTube channel, "TayMakesStuff." A proud CWU alumna with a BA in Film and Animation, Taylor enjoys staying active with running and basketball. She loves spending time with her sister and her black cat Tucker. She wants to shout out Lauren, Becky, and Clint and thank them for their love and support!
