Diana Montford (Christine Jorgensen)
Born and raised on New York's Upper East Side, Diana Montford transitioned when she was 19 years old. Diana studied acting with Michael Moriarty and was a member of his acting company. In 1990 she started her own television show and became the world’s first transgender television journalist. As host of The Diana Montford Show, Diana interviewed many of the most prominent members of New York’s LGBTQ community as well as numerous local and national politicians. A longtime political activist and member of the Stonewall Democratic Club, Diana has twice served as a judicial delegate and in 2004 was an alternate delegate for Wesley Clark’s presidential campaign. She is delighted to be playing trans pioneer Christine Jorgensen in Transformation Theatre’s production of TRANSITION - The Christine Jorgensen Collection.
Andrea Sears (Sister Mary Elizabeth)
Andrea Sears grew up in a small town in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. She attended Rhode Island School of design where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture, and Pratt Institute earning a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Non-Traditional Art. She worked as a radio news reporter filing feature stories and documentaries for National Public Radio, and for more than twenty years was the News Editor and Anchor for the WBAI FM Evening News on the Pacifica Network radio station in New York City. Andrea is a member of SAG-AFTRA. She began acting in 2017 as background actor for the Netflix series Orange is the New Black and has appeared in dozens of other television shows and films. She has had principal roles in several short and feature films and she studies acting at The Barrow Group with Lee Brock and Seth Barrish and has studied with Brad Calcaterra at The Studio. Andrea is also a singer/songwriter, performing her original material at open mics, bars and other venues around New York City, and a member and past president of the Sirens Women's Motorcycle Club of NYC, which has led the NYC LGBT Pride March since 1986. She lives with her wife in the Bronx.
R. Scott Williams (Stanton Bahr)
R. Scott Williams currently lives a bi-urban life, splitting time between DC’s Capitol Hill and NYC, where his performance in Boys of a Certain Age earned a Best Leading Actor nomination from the NY Innovative Theatre Awards. Other NYC appearances include Hudson Classical Theatre (Julius Caesar, She Stoops to Conquer, Three Musketeers, King Lear, Richard III), Titan Theatre (Taming of the Shrew, A Christmas Carol, King Lear, Richard III) and Shakespeare Forum (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). In the DC region, Scott has performed with The Shakespeare Theatre Co. (five productions), Washington Stage Guild (five productions), Olney Theatre (three productions), Wayside Theatre (three productions), and at the Supreme Court, where he sang Gilbert & Sullivan for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s birthday party. He has appeared in 46 states thanks to two national tours and has given over 600 performances of Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center. Bobbie Joan Lowe (She/Her Zie/Hir) raised in North Texas, her credits include; Theatre: London: King Lear at RADA, New York: Ximer, Lady D*ck's BBQ Sauce, Sex vs. Love, Cabaret, Kelly; 1955, and Urinetown, Film: Chrissy Judy. She performs regularly with Trans Voices Cabaret and started devising hir solo piece, Doris in The Club Cumming Variety Show.
