JOYFUL NOISE Creative
DirectorNancy L. Meyer
NANCY L. MEYER (Artistic Director) Nancy has over 20 years of experience performing professional and educational improvisational comedy with Laughing Matters (Atlanta) and Now This! (DC). A Master Wolf Trap Teaching Artist for the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, she continued that role in the MD/DC/VA area. Recent performances include Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother) and Sister Act (Mother Superior) at Curtain Call Theatre, and It’s Hell Out There (Alexa) and She Kills Dragons (Vera) for Croton Arts Academy. Locally, she has directed [title of show], I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Wilton Playshop) and Hound of the Baskervilles (The Lipstick Project). Nancy has sung in multiple presentations of Handel’s Messiah (including performing the alto solos in high school), so directing Joyful Noise for the Town Players of New Canaan has been a personal delight. Extra bonus: working with this gifted production team and outstanding cast of brilliant actors, including former GHS theatre students Mathew Young and Patrick Duffy.
Assistant DirectorAmy Wade
AMY WADE (Dramaturg/Assistant Director) As dramaturg I had the fun job of researching the real history behind this very clever play! (My only qualification was curiosity; did they know that?) Many thanks to Nancy for letting me follow her process with this incredibly talented cast. Thanks to Martha for all the support a great stage manager gives a production. The result speaks for itself, so enjoy the show!
Music DirectorZachary Kampler
ZACHARY KAMPLER (Music Director) is a professor at Westchester Community College and serves as Music Director of the St. Catherine's Players, the Sound Beach Community Band, and The Kolot Sinai Chorus. He has conducted for The Connecticut Little Symphony and Nickel City Opera, in addition to holding the position of Assistant Conductor with the Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic, Tri-Cities Opera, and Sarasota Opera. Recent engagements include work with ACT of CT, The Downtown Bridgeport Cabaret, and Wilton High School Theatre. A graduate of the Juilliard Pre-College Program, Kampler holds a B.A. in Music from New York University and an M.M. in Orchestral Conducting with a concentration in Opera from SUNY Binghamton.
Stage ManagerMartha Dombroski
MARTHA DOMBROSKI (Production Stage Manager) Martha is joyful to be back with TPNC and to stage manage her first show at The Powerhouse. She was Asst. Stage Manager here for On Golden Pond in 2021. After a lo-o-o-ng hiatus, Martha returned to theater in 2016. She has predominantly volunteered on and offstage at Curtain Call, Stamford. She has appeared in City of Angels, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Sister Act (All Ensemble Roles). This summer she filled-in as Mistress Overdone in the Shakespeare On The Green production of Measure For Measure. Favorite backstage appearances include Ragtime (Asst. Stage Mgr.), Wedding Belles (Stage Mgr.), Live Outdoor Cabaret events (Performer & Crew) to name a few. Thank you, Deborah and Nancy, for asking me to be part of this phenomenal production with this amazing cast. And a huge Hallelujah shout out goes to Amy, Zach, Joel, Patricia, Jeff, Kelly & Angelique – so great to be working with you all!

As I took an on-stage role at another theater, I've been less involved as I should for this show.... but it's in such capable hands... I am rarely needed! That's what I live for!!! :)
