I'm Phil Cruise, and I'm directing and producing “Come And Knock Down My Door” by Alex Emanuel with my company, Thin Duke Productions. I first met Alex when we performed together in the sold-out run of Dean Haspiel’s HARAKIRI KANE, a comix-style noir play produced by Ian W. Hill’s Gemini Collisionworks at the Brick Theatre in Brooklyn (October, 2017). Since 2021, Alex has staged a reading of “Come and Knock Down My Door” every year on the January 6th anniversary with his own Starna Productions. Now in the fifth year since that faithful day, Thin Duke, The Gene Frankel Theatre and Starna are pleased to give Alex’s piece a full-scale production in Manhattan at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street). In our minds, there is no time but the present to ensure that the events that transpired are not forgotten (or worse, rewritten).
