Gregory Peters
Gregory Peters (he/him) is a founding member and former Artistic Director of The Plagiarists. He has been reading comics since he had to catch a ride across town to the shop that would sell him the Vertigo Mature Readers comics and has been working with Jack for 20 years. For The Plagiarists, he wrote Matryoshka, Some Like It Red, Münsterspiel, and The Epic of Gilgamesh as Told By Mr. George Smith, Associate Curator For The British Museum (Deceased); directed Living the Dream, Promiscuous Stories, The Feast of Saint McGonagall, and belladonna luna sonata; and co-wrote/adapted The One About The Green Detective, Promiscuous Stories, American Stage Sessions, The Wreck of the Medusa, Caesura: A Butchery, King Ubu, Season Pass, Ubu II: Electric Boog-Ubu, and Season Pass: Deux Over. Other Chicago credits include directing Girl in the Goldfish Bowl for New Leaf Theatre and assistant directing/co-adapting The Alchemist for Nothing Special Productions. He has also appeared onstage occasionally as The Professor and Ubu. He would like to thank Jet & Jack, who always read his first drafts and are honest about what they think.

Jack Dugan Carpenter
Jack Dugan Carpenter (he/him) is a director and actor who has worked with theatre companies across Chicago. He has collaborated with The Plagiarists on a number of productions, including directing Münsterspiel, Some Like It Red, Gilgamesh, these saints will burn, War Song, Matryoshka and Caesura: A Butchery (for which he was also a co-adapter) and assistant directing The Wreck of the Medusa. He's also been seen in the company's productions of The Feast of Saint McGonagall and King Ubu. Elsewhere in Chicago, Jack directed Charley’s Aunt, The Woman in Black, Measure for Measure and Figments with Saint Sebastian Players, The Alchemist and The Armageddon Dance Party with Nothing Special Productions and staged readings of The Shape of Things and Sight Unseen with Black Cloud Gallery, as well as a workshop and staged reading of Hammer for The Right Brain Project. Other regional credits include assistant directing at Writers Theatre in Glencoe (The Old Settler, under the incomparable Ron OJ Parson), Scapin at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival (assistant to Karen Kessler of A Red Orchid Theatre) and creating the new commedia dell'arte greenshow The Journey to Egypt at ISF. He directed Equus, Julius Caesar, 4.48 Psychosis, The Dumb Waiter, The Fan, The Memorandum, and Nobody Here But Us Chickens, all at ISU where Jack received his MFA in directing. And as a member of Lincoln Nebraska’s Rough Magic Productions, he directed Description of a Struggle, The Epic of Gilgamesh as Told By Mr. George Smith, Associate Curator For The British Museum (Deceased), Pure Anima, Mr. Marmalade, The Mutants and Kid Simple: A Radio Play in the Flesh. Emily Szymanski
Emily Szymanski (she/her)is delighted to be a part of The Plagiarists’ final season. Emily recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a BA in Comprehensive Theatre Arts. Credits include roles in Silent Sky (Henrietta), Head Over Heels (Philoclea), Hand to God (Jessica) and The House of Blue Leaves (Little Nun). Other credits include Murder by Midnight (Director), Alice in Wonderland (Co-Director/SM), Medea (ASM), Failure: A Love Story (Producer) and more. Since graduating, Emily has worked with the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Sunstone Studios and First Stage Children’s Theatre, as well as Co-Directed Legally Blonde at her old High School. She is currently the Administrative and Communications Assistant at Remy Bumppo Theatre Company.

Andy Cahoon
Andy Cahoon (he/him) is new to Chicago having just moved here in July of 2022. He brings with him over ten years of professional theater experience from Phoenix, Arizona. He’s been an actor, technical director, master carpenter, props designer, set designer, electrician, and fight choreographer. Most recently you’ll have seen his work as the TD for Shattered Globe’s production of London Road, and the TD and Props Designer for Red Theater’s Indoor Cats. He is extremely excited to bring his skills to The Plagiarists. Andy would love to thank his wife, Mary, for her constant support and dedication to this shared dream.

Ellie Humphrys (she/her/they/them) graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Lighting Design from The Theatre School at DePaul University and has been working the Chicago theatre scene ever since. Cindy Moon (she/her) is a Chicago-based freelance costume designer, originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Her recent Chicago area design work includes The ThreePenny Opera (Theo Ubique); Merrily We Roll Along & She Loves Me (Blank Theatre Company); Twelfth Night (Midsommer Flight); Airness & Little Shop of Horrors & Outside Mullingar (Citadel Theatre); Shout! (Metropolis); Dory Fantasmagory & Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus (Young People’s Theatre). Regional designs include Hello, Dolly! & The Mock Marriage & The Pirates of Penzance (Ohio Light Opera); Million Dollar Quartet (Tuacahn). Devon Rodlund
Devon Rodlund (he/him) is excited to be joining The Plagiarists on this project. Recent credits include being the Audio Supervisor for Oak Park Festival Theatre's production of Seagulls, the Sound Designer of Northwestern University's production of Violet, and he was the resident Sound Designer/Engineer of Derby Dinner Playhouse from June 2020-August 2022. He has a Masters of Sound Arts and Industries from Northwestern University and a Bachelors of Theatre Design/Production Sound Design from Illinois State University. When he's not working on a production, you can find him at the Cutting Hall Performance Center as a technician.
