Director of Barnum, Artistic Director of Pied Piper Theatre
Lesly de GrootLesly has been Artistic Director of Pied since June 2022. She comes from a professional singing background, having worked as a performer with Philadelphia Opera, Opera Delaware, and the Spoleto Italy Festival of Two Worlds. During her five years with the award winning Riverdale Rising Stars Junior Theater, Lesly wore multiple hats as musical director, stage director and/or stage manager with The Wizard of Oz as her directorial debut including 104 student actors. She has also held residencies with Midori and Friends Foundation in NYC as well as NJPAC’s Disney Musicals in Schools and Dancing Classrooms. Lesly obtained a dual Masters degree in Early Childhood and Special Education at MSU, and has taught children with developmental disabilities. She is currently a 1st grade teacher, as well as teaching private voice/piano lessons.

Music Director
Eric ColeEric joined the Pied Piper family playing for The Addams Family and it was love-at-first-downbeat for him. He’s delighted to be back for Barnum. He has played for shows on Broadway (Grease!) and across the country from Dallas to St. Louis to San Francisco. New York engagements include Curtains (PPT), Drowsy Chaperone (PPT), Xanadu, Working, The Prom and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Much love and thanks goes out to his husband, Joe.

Stage Manager
Clementine Bennett VillariClementine is a junior at High School of American Studies at Lehman College. She loves to bake, read queer love stories, sing, and watch her favorite TV shows. This is her second time officially stage managing at PPT. She has been with Pied Piper since she was five and has acted in more than 20 shows. Even though she loves being on stage, she is excited to have this opportunity and has had so much fun during this production. Enjoy the show!

Lighting & Sound Designer
Giovanni VillariGiovanni is delighted to be working with the Pied Piper gang once again. He is a lighting designer; actor; director; fight and stunt choreographer; set and sound designer; prop master; stage manager; technical director; and an educator. His work has been seen all over NYC and around Italy, England, Switzerland, Poland and Montenegro.

Choreographer
Rosalind DouglassRoz Douglass is a PPT alumna and is currently a sophomore at the Culinary Institute of America, where she is studying Hospitality Management and Administration. She has been teaching dance since she was 14, and this is her third time choreographing for Pied Piper. She is so excited to be working on this musical and with PPT again! A special thanks to Rowan and Shannon for all their help with the dancing!
Costume Designer
Emma HorowitzEmma joined the Pied Piper crew during last year's spring musical as a makeup and hair assistant, and quickly proved herself to be invaluable to the PPT team! She was costume assistant on PPT's 2025 fall play, Our Town, and now takes on the enormous task of Costume Designer for this year's musical!
