Clare Holt (Diana)A Sacramento native, Clare has performed in theatres across the country, including Oklahoma Shakespeare, Muskogee Little Theatre, and Theatre Tulsa. Some of Clare's favorite roles include Alice Murphy (Bright Star), Gwendolen (The Importance of Being Earnest), Bonnie (Bonnie and Clyde), and Paulina (The Winter's Tale). Clare holds her BFA in Musical Theatre from ORU and is passionate about shaping the future of the arts.
Michelle Rice (Natalie)Michelle is so excited to be taking on the role of Natalie! This show means the world to her, so she is so excited to get the opportunity to share it with all of you! She wants to thank her friends for being her biggest support and her family for always being there. She loves you guys more than you can know and hopes you enjoy the show!
Navaz Khan (Dan)This is Navaz’s first production at The Ooley Theatre. He was most recently seen in Pioneer Player’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
He would like to thank all of the people closest to him: Quinn, Justin, Aryana, and Mom. For always being there, even when he makes it difficult.
He would also like to thank: the incredible cast and crew who, through hours of dedication and love, brought this story to life.
Griffin Schatz (Gabe)Griffin has been performing in community theater productions, choirs, and event/party character gigs for many years, but being a part of Next to Normal feels like an extraordinarily special opportunity to him. He’s thankful to be tackling his first show at the Ooley with such a capable, compassionate and skilled team of people both onstage and behind the scenes. When not onstage, you can find him making artwork and stocking shelves at Trader Joe’s, sewing costumes, and spending time with his amazing girlfriend, whom he thanks for her love and support through the rehearsal process.
Rick Grantham (Dr. Madden/Fine)Rick grew up in Tucson AZ, and now lives and teaches high school in Roseville, CA. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Religion and Theology. Rick has been pursuing his passion for drama in just the last few years appearing in local productions including: Theseus and Oberon (split cast) in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Bo Decker in Bus Stop, Richard Hanay in The 39 Steps, and Maurice in Beauty and the Beast with Stage Right Productions in Rocklin (nominated for Broadway-Sacramento best supporting performer in a musical). His previous acting and singing experience was in local church productions including A Christmas Carol and The Screwtape Letters. He was last seen on the Lincoln Theatre Company stage playing Robert in Don’t Dress for Dinner.
Nate Reeder (Henry)Nate is incredibly honored to be performing in Next to Normal and bringing to life Henry on the Ooley Theater stage. His most recent role being Peter in the Diary of Anne Frank, hoping to bring some of the teenage energy and emotionally driven storytelling back to life. Nate is incredibly grateful for his cast and creative team behind the production making a powerful story come to life in such a beautiful way. He hopes that you enjoy the show and that the story will be able to touch you as it has touched him.
