Laura BerkemeierLaura returns to the directing seat after a hiatus of a couple years thanks to COVID-19. Her previous MPI directing credits include More Fun Than Bowling (another Stephen Dietz show) Star-spangled Girl and The Glass Menagerie. She can also be seen on stage occasionally. She’s excited to get to work with her husband, Jay Gossett, on another production and thanks him for being not only an excellent actor but also her co-producer for this show (and in life). And special things to all friends and family who have helped to make this production a reality.
Stage manager, Costumes
Molly BarresiMolly is excited to be back at Mariemont Players after five years away from the theater.
This is her fourth show with MPI after stage managing The Glass Menagerie and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
Abridged and appearing as Elma in Bus Stop. Other production crew credits include The Odd Couple, Les Misérables, Lord of the Flies, and Annie. She would like to thank Laura for once again allowing her to be a part of another beautiful show.
Set Design/Decor
Dan DermodyDan has been involved with
Community Theater since 1992 as a scenic designer for several community theater groups in the Greater Cincinnati area. Dan was
the recipient of the Mario Pitocco Award in 2006 from ACT Cincinnati. He has served on the board of directors for Mariemont
Players in several capacities, including board president. Dan has also twice been an “Acclaim” award winner for set design. Currently he is owner of Dermody Design Group, a construction management, space
planning & design company specializing in design/build projects for residential and
commercial projects.
Properties
Connie BerkemeierConnie enjoys theater and
working with her director daughter, son-in-law, Jay, and this phenomenal cast. This is her fifth show with Mariemont Players. Previous shows include: The Glass Menagerie, Radium Girls,
Star-Spangled Girl, and More Fun than Bowling. Connie is a retired Paralegal who has become a professional collage/mosaic artist using upcycled paper product. Finding props for current timeframe has its challenges but hoping everything has purpose! Great cast,
phenomenal show!
Lighting Design
Chuck IngramChuck returns to light his
second of three shows this season - Harvey, This Random World and The Gods of Comedy. When Chuck is not working behind the
scenes he loves being on stage. He was a part of the wonderful award-winning cast of The Outsider who represented Mariemont
Players at the State level on Labor Day weekend! Only one of three community theater groups to do so from this area. Chuck was Ned Newley in The Outsider and has also been on stage for Evelyn in Purgatory portraying gym teacher Fred DiSalvo.
Master Carpenter
Bill PaulyBill Pauly is in his 46th production over ten seasons building sets for MPI. With fellow carpenters Tim
Carney and Fred Murrell, he finds it a joy building each set with its unique design and challenges. Bill has received many awards for his work including MPI's President Award and the Elston Hurst
Award, and 16 Orchard Awards from ACT. He wants to thank MPI, the patrons, his fellow builders, and his wife for the opportunity to fulfill his passion for creating the excitement that these sets
produce.
Light & Sound Execution
Aimée WardAimée (she/her) is
excited to be back on the Mariemont light and sound board, having done so for a number of past shows including Last Night at
Ballyhoo. When not playing button monkey, she enjoys being on stage. You might remember her as Ada in Ada and the Engine and Myrtle Mae in Harvey. She also serves on the board. Aimée is a Montessori teacher at Cincinnati Country Day School and a graduate student of the School of Education at Xavier University. She also enjoys
Netflix binge-watching, playing D&D and going to the zoo. She'd like to thank the
cast & crew, the best family in the world (hers) and, of course, Taylor Swift.
Light & Sound Execution
Kieran ShlueterThis is Kieran's first show with Mariemont Players after manning the sound board
at ESP’s 2022 productions of Matilda and Shrek. When not doing theatre, Kieran enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 dogs,
playing board games, reading, and trying new international food restaurants. She lives in Western Hills and works as a Social Worker at Mount Notre Dame Health Center.
