Director
Pete Byrne
Pete Byrne is an actor, writer and filmmaker who moved from Chicago, IL to Lafayette in 2020. Pete is a graduate of The Second City’s Conservatory program where he studied improvisational comedy and sketch writing. He currently serves as Communications Director on the Looking Glass Theatre Co. board of directors. You may have seen Pete perform recently in CCT's production of 'The Real Inspector Hound', as Birdboot, in The Looking Glass Theatre Company's production of 'Hay Fever', as David Bliss and most recently in '9 to 5, The Musical,' as Dick. Although he has directed Sketch Comedy in the past, this is Pete's first time directing a musical. Into The Woods is not exactly what he'd call an "entry-level" musical, so he is immensely grateful for the support (and the talent) of his Music Director, Vocal Director, Stage Manager. Choreographer, Rehearsal Pianist, Costume Designer, Set Designer, Crew and WILDLY impressive cast. Without these people, this show would not be the amazing product that it is. This was an extremely difficult process and the people involved are what made it a truly joyful and gratifying experience. He hopes you enjoy your journey Into (and hopefully out of) The Woods.

Music Director
Cory Murray
Cory Murray, local musician and technologist, has worked with Shelby Have, The Looking Glass, and IPAL, in the past, in various shapes, sizes, etcetera on many beloved shows. Recently, he's either played an instrument or a character in Rocky Horror, She Loves Me, 9 to 5, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Rent. Conducting rubber chicken symphonies and choreographing dry-land synchronized swimming takes up his free time, but only on even numbered years. He is wonderfully delighted of the fortunate circumstances this year, and is deeply thankful for the grand opportunity of conducting a very nimble and real orchestra alongside an immensely professional creative team who has carried him through these tumultuous woods.
