Brandon Motz (The Baker)
Brandon is thrilled to be making his Lafayette debut with Looking Glass Theatre and stepping back on the stage for the first time in over five years! A native of western Colorado, Brandon has performed in a variety of musical theatre and opera productions from Jesus Christ Superstar to Die Zauberflöte and even a few stints as Jack in Into the Woods. An accomplished director, he has led productions of L'elisir d'amore, Don Pasquale, and Gianni Schicchi, among others. His production of Urinetown the Musical at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette was recognized as a finalist for the American Prize in Stage Direction. Brandon has served on the voice faculty of UL since 2020 and was recently named Performing Arts Director at the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
Allison Barron Brandon (The Baker's Wife)
Allison Barron Brandon is the Founder of Wonderland Performing Arts & The Looking Glass Theatre Co. She enjoys producing & directing shows for the students here at Wonderland Academy on a regular basis… AND she is SO ecstatic to be performing in this one! It holds a special place in her heart. She played Cinderella in ULL's 2005 production of Into the Woods and is thrilled to perform as the Baker's Wife now because this is her all-time favorite musical! Allison's true passion lies in sharing her love for performing arts with others. She is incredibly excited to bring Into the Woods to life, surrounded by some of the most jaw-dropping talent in our community. It is a joy to work with such incredible performers and share this extraordinary experience with them, and with you.
Sarah Gauthier (The Witch)
Sarah is back on the theatre stage after an 8 year hiatus! She is a mother of 3 and a talented theatre teacher with Lafayette Parish Schools. She is also the lead singer of the band Ask for Ashley. Sarah is honored to work with such an amazing cast and crew and be allowed to play one of her bucket list roles. She is most grateful to share the stage again with her bestie, Allison Brandon!
Logan Tauzin (Cinderella)
Logan Leah Tauzin is honored to share the stage with this talented cast in her second Looking Glass production. Previously she was seen as Maria in their showing of “The Sound of Music”. She was most recently seen as Maureen Johnson in “Rent” (Shelby Have Productions) and Cathy Hyatt in “The Last Five Years” (4th Wall Theatre Co.) Other favorite roles include Heather Chandler in “Heathers the Musical” (4th Wall), Magenta in “The Rocky Horror Show” (Shelby Have), Aggie in “The Game’s Afoot” (Lauren-Reilly Elliot) and others. She sends thanks to the ITW team for the impeccable collaboration and immeasurable experience, to her friends and family for their tremendous support and to everyone who came out to see the show and support local theatre.
Casey Robichaux (Cinderella's Prince)
Casey Robichaux completed his Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance at ULL in 2018 and has been actively performing for over a decade. A multi-talented Lafayette artist, florist, and vocalist, he took on roles like Frank N Furter in SHProduction’s The Rocky Horror Show, Dwayne in The Looking Glass Company’s 9 to 5, and most recently Mark in SHProduction's RENT. He has also contributed to Big Brother Big Sister Murder Mystery fundraising events and served as a stage manager for various ULL Opera Department productions. His wish is for this production to bring you as much joy as it brought him and the entire cast and crew during its creation.
Angelle Bourgeois (Little Red)
Angelle is very excited to be a part of Into the Woods. This will mark her second show with The Looking Glass Theatre Co., the first being Sound of Music where Angelle played Liesl. Her most recent credits include Deb in Ordinary Days and Janet in The Rocky Horror Show. When she is not performing with a theater troupe, she is still on stage as the singer of Buffalo Lockjaw. Angelle would like to give a special shoutout to her friends, family, and coworkers, especially those who are here to see the run of this musical, and those who show up and support every performance they can.
Casey O'Brien (Rapunzel)
Casey has been living in Lafayette for the past 7 years since she moved here for school. Over the past few years, she has become a seasoned performer throughout the Acadiana area. Some of her favorite memories include several featured and ensemble roles at IPAL and Abbey Players. She is over the moon about being a part of her second production here at The Looking Glass, last year portraying the role of Maria in 9 to 5! She is so happy you’re here and hopes you enjoy the show!
Brenden Daigle (Rapunzel's Prince)
Brenden Daigle is 19 years old and excited to make his Looking Glass debut! Brenden has been performing in Lafayette for almost a decade with school performances and CYT, totaling 24 shows altogether! This is his second time playing Rapunzel’s Prince, with some of his other favorite roles being Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Roger in Grease, Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, Jesus in Godspell, and Gomez in The Addams Family! Brenden has also worked as music director in last year’s production of Cinderella at Saint Thomas More and is excited to partake in next year’s musical as well! When not performing, Brenden loves playing the piano, singing, hanging out with friends, playing tennis, and traveling! He thanks the ITW creative team for this amazing opportunity and hopes you enjoy the show!
Isaiah Alexander (Jack)
Isaiah Alexander is 27 years old, originally from Georgia, but lives here now in Youngsville, LA. He graduated from Shorter University in Rome, GA with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. He has had the pleasure of being a part of a few productions such as Showboat, Tuck Everlasting, Patience(Duke), You're a Good Man Charlie Brown(Schroeder), Cinderella(Prince), Hunchback of Notre Dame(Statue), Something Rotten(Robin), and Footloose(Cowboy Bob). He has been a part of CYT for 3 years. He has had the opportunity to be Music Director for CYT's production of Wizard of Oz Jr., Madagascar Jr., Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, and Seussical Jr. This is his first lead role. He is super excited to be a part of this spectacular cast.
Cindy D'Arcy (Jack's Mom)
Cindy D’Arcy has acted with many local theatre companies since 2009. They include The TeaSippers' Theatre Company, Acadian Repertory Theatre, AUI, IPAL, Evangeline Players, The Hive, Lauren-Reilly Eliot Theatre, The Looking Glass Theatre Company, and Abbey Players. She was most recently seen in The Looking Glass’s production of Steel Magnolias as Clairee Belcher. She is grateful for the opportunity of working with such an incredible cast and crew. She dedicates this play to her husband Joseph who has been extremely supportive, her daughter, Marissa, her biggest fan, and Andrew - whose light will shine on forever.
Marshall Brooks (Narrator)
Born in Tampa Bay (Go Rays!), Marshall is thrilled to return to the stage after a 24-year hiatus. In his youth, a very, very long time ago, he performed roles such as Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Jesus in Godspell, and Smudge in Forever Plaid, as well as parts in Cabaret and more. Offstage, he cherishes his time with his beautiful wife and son. His son recently made his stage debut as Napoleon in The Aristocats. Marshall is excited to join the amazing cast of Into the Woods and bring the Narrator to life.
Connor Smith (Mysterious Man)
Connor is a K-12 Vocal Music Educator and recent graduate at ULL. He has been in many productions with IPAL and Abbey Players. In addition to this show he is also currently working as Music Director for IPAL's Beauty and the Beast!
Renée Barry (Stepmother)
Renee Barry moved back home to Lafayette in 2020 after spending eight years in Chicago, IL performing in improv and sketch comedy shows. In Chicago, Renee wrote and performed at The Second City in such productions as Thank You Five, Out Damn Spotlight, Ready Player: Won, and 1984-Play. Most recently, Renee performed as Rona Lisa Peretti in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” Judy Bernly in “9 to 5: The Musical”, and as Jackie Coryton in "Hay Fever,” all produced by The Looking Glass Theatre Co. Renee teaches Talented Theatre in St. Martin Parish schools. Renee would like to thank her family and friends for their continued love and support, and she’d like to congratulate her husband Pete for his directorial debut!
Harper Johnson (Florinda)
Harper wants to thank The Looking Glass for the opportunity to play the role of Florinda, allowing her to become reacquainted with the stage after a hiatus devoted to motherhood. Growing up Harper took many years of dance and singing classes, but her love for theatre developed in high school, where she played various roles in musicals such as Beauty and the Beast and How to Succeed at Business Without Really Trying. She also performed dramatic interpretations such as Lynn Redgrave in Shakespeare for my Father, on the speech and debate team, which landed her at nationals on the Harvard campus senior year. In more recent years, Harper has performed in shows and festivals on stages throughout New Orleans such as Tipitina’s, House of Blues, and One Eyed Jacks with a dancing and acting troupe. Into the Woods has been her favorite musical since high school. She is more than a little thrilled that her revival to theatre is a long awaited role in this beloved show.
Kayla Petitjean (Lucinda)
Kayla discovered her passion for community theatre while studying pharmacy at ULM. Through the support of her family and colleagues, she has been able to weave this passion into her life. She was most recently seen here at Wonderland as Margaret (atta girl!) in "9 to 5." Since 2010, she has performed in numerous roles at Abbey Players and throughout Lafayette. Favorite roles include Elvira in "Blithe Spirit" (Abbey Players), Brooke in "Other Desert Cities," and, with Acadiana Repertory Theatre, Bonita in "Drown" and Amelia in "Anatomy of a Hug." Kayla’s most cherished role is being a mother to Anna and Evelyn. She thanks her loving husband Jared for his support, and the ITW team for letting her be part of such an amazing production!
Jason Leblanc (The Wolf)
Lafayette native Jason LeBlanc is best known for his tenure as the lead singer of the band Drood. This marks his second venture into musical theater, following his performance as Roger in Shelby Have’s production of “Rent” last year. Jason dedicates this performance to his wife, Hallie, for her unwavering love and support in helping him pursue his dreams.
Laura Beth Shirey (Cinderella's Mother, Sleeping Beauty)
Laura Beth Shirey is thrilled to be back on stage after a 17 year hiatus. Before this production her last role was Nellie in South Pacific. She studied music at Northwestern State University of Louisiana in Natchitoches from 2008-2012. Laura Beth moved here from Texas seven years ago and is elated to make her local theatre debut. When she’s not singing you can find her doing hair at Joie De Vivre Salon & Spa or spending time with her husband and four beloved dogs.
Donovan Derrick (Cinderella's Father, Snow White)
Donovan is a local bartender at Bolt in downtown Lafayette, and has been performing locally for almost ten years. Some of his most recent productions include Warren in Ordinary Days, Keanu Reeves in The Last Voyage of the S.S. Minnow, and Brad in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Donovan is incredibly excited to be a part of this production and will also be playing Ben in the upcoming production of Bartender: The Musical later this year.
Katelynn Shackelford (Red's Granny, Giant)
Katelynn is a Lafayette native, and has a deep passion for musical theatre. The mother of a lively 3-year-old boy who shares her love of music and dance, she is thrilled to be returning to the stage after over a decade away. This is her first production with The Looking Glass Theatre Co, and she is grateful for the opportunity to perform with such talented individuals. Katelynn looks forward to future shows with the company and is excited to be a part of "Into the Woods". With fond memories of performing in church choir and show choir in her younger years, she is grateful for the chance to reignite her passion for performing. Dedicated to bringing her best to the stage, she can't wait to share the magic of live theater with audiences once again. Katelynn wants to thank her amazing friends, family, and loving husband Justin for their support as she chases her dreams.
Jonathan Benoit (Steward)
Jonathan is starting his journey into musical theater. This will be his first appearance on stage and certainly will not be his last. He is so excited to work with such an amazing cast and to perform in such a wonderful show. He has previously worked as a stagehand for productions of Rent and 9 to 5 and cannot wait to work on many more in the future!
