Beehive: The 60's Musical Creative

Director
Sarah Lynne Bailey
A graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College, Sarah Lynne has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a focus in Arts Management. She has worked as a theatre artist across Northeast Ohio, having previously worked with Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama Theatre, Blank Canvas Theatre, The Musical Theater Project, the Academy for the Performing Arts, MAD* Factory Theatre Co, Cassidy Theatre, Mighty Goliath Productions and many more. She couldn’t be happier to be working with The Brecksville Theatre! Recently, Sarah Lynne has been bringing a long-time dream to life; she and her partner/husband Doug have co-founded Theatre Agápe, an inclusive community of theatre artists devoted to putting our service where our art is. When not in the theatre (and sometimes in the theatre) Sarah Lynne spends her time with her children Desmond, Taso, Georgie and Matilda.
Choreographer
Jen Justice
Jen is very happy to be back at TBT with this wonderful group! She has been working in the Cleveland area as both a choreographer and performer for more than 20 years. Favorite performance credits include Chicago (Roxie Hart), A Chorus Line (Cassie), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Guys and Dolls (Miss Adelaide), The Addams Family (Morticia), The Pajama Game (Gladys Hotchkiss), Steel Magnolias (Truvy), You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally), and Pump Boys and Dinettes (Rhetta Cupp). She has also choreographed productions for many local companies, including Theatre In The Circle, The Cassidy Theatre, Lakeland Civic Theatre, The Fine Arts Association, French Creek, Pickwick and Frolic, as well as several high school and youth theater productions. Favorite credits include Chicago, Pippin, Anything Goes, Tuck Everlasting, The Producers, Spamalot, Shrek, White Christmas, Seussical, Hairspray, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Newsies, and many installments of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Enjoy the show!
Costume Designer
Laurie Gartman
Laurie Gartman is honored to share the stage with five of Cleveland’s most outstanding performers. She is genuinely starstruck by the talent in and around this production of Beehive. Typically working behind the scenes on costumes (Crazy for You, Rudolph 2022, The Sound of Music 2021, A Streetcar Named Desire, Ivy & Bean 2019), Laurie just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a part of this cast or crew so she decided to do both! She wants to thank to the Brecksville Theatre for allowing her to pursue two of her passions at once, and is ever grateful to her husband and sons for their love, support, and patience as she tackled this ambitious and meaningful endeavor.
Prop Manager
Evelyn Stevens
Evelyn is a Brecksville Theatre board member and has been a backstage ninja and prop collector since the onset of the theatre in 2017. She has had many roles in theatre. She ushers, sells snacks, and she has painted sets.Evelyn has worked backstage and onstage (but only when the lights are out) moving props during scene changes. She collects props but sometimes she makes the most realistic props, such as our cheeseburgers! When you see the parties onstage you can bet she's up to her elbows in soap suds after the performance. Enjoy the show!
Sound Designer
Dan Laszlo
Daniel is the sound designer of The Brecksville Theater and a member of its Board of Directors. He is responsible for planning, building, and maintaining the sound system for the theater. In addition to managing the main audio system before each new production, he sets up the sound equipment for both the stage and the band pit. He designs and programs the mixing board with scenes, effects, and sound cues. He is available to assist with any issues throughout each performance. He received his Live Sound Production Certification from Berklee College of Music. He has more than 25 years of audio experience including performing with live bands, managing his own home studio, running his own music label, setting up sound systems for various venues and Houses of Worship, mixing for shows in a variety of settings, and teaching novice sound technicians. He also enjoys playing drums and percussion on set, performing in shows such as The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2019), The Sound of Music (2021), and Rudolph, Jr. (2022). He appreciates the Brecksville Theatre for its genuine support of local talents of all ages and variety of performing arts.
Set Design-Build
Douglas F. Bailey
Douglas is grateful to be returning to Brecksville Theatre, and for making his set design debut! He was last seen on this stage as Leo Bloom in The Producers in 2012! Other local credits include School of Rock the Musical (Dewey Finn), Memphis the Musical (Huey Calhoun, Cleveland Critics Circle's Best Actor in a Musical 2018), Rock of Ages (Lonny Barnett) and Godspell (Light of the World) at Cain Park; Shrek The Musical (Shrek) at both MAD* Factory and Near West Theatre (Fill-In), Big Fish the Musical (Will Bloom) and Ordinary Days (Jason) at French Creek Theatre, and Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd) at MAD* Factory. Douglas serves as the General Manager of Theatre Agápe founded by his amazing wife, Sarah Lynne. Douglas thanks his build crew and best friends Dan and DC for their help constructing the set. He dedicates his work in this production, as all others, to the memory of his late father, The Silver Fox. Love to Sarah, Matilda, Desmond and Taso.
Stage Manager
Meridyth Warnke
Meridyth is so unbelievably excited to be stage managing her first show here at The Brecksville Theater. She began her theater life at the age of five in Avon Lakes Mighty Goliath Productions and has done countless shows both on and off stage since. She spent some time working on shows at Cedar Point and having the best five summers ever with the Peanuts Gang. While this is her first time heading the production side of the show she can not wait for you all to see what this amazing cast has in store for you! Meridyth would like to thank Sarah Lynn for trusting her enough with this show. Her best friends for answering every silly question she has. Her Aunt Laura for fostering a young girls love of theater. Her mom for letting her do crazy things and supporting her the whole way. Finally her dad, I am who I am because of you. Enjoy the show!
