Cynthia Rodriguez-MartinezCindy is grateful to Teatro Audaz for allowing her to return to the stage after retiring from teaching in 2021. She is an alumnus of San Antonio College, the University of Incarnate Word, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. Active with the Extended Run Players from UIW, and Tony Plana’s Seniors in Play, on stage with Teatro Audaz, is her happiest place.

Ruby RuizRuby Raquel Ruiz recently was seen portraying the role of Dolores at the Guadalupe Arts Centers production of Chatos Bridge and the role of Florida in the Screaming Into The Void Festival at Jumpstart Performance Company. Ruby was recently seen as the Mask Maker in her first production with Teatro Audaz in Luchadora! She is thrilled to be a part of the production team as a crew member. She wants to thank her family and friends for their consistent love and support. Thank you! :)

Victoria LiraVictoria is honored to be working with Teatro Audaz after volunteering for productions : Luchadora (Alvaro Saar Rios) & The Ghosts of Lote Bravo (Hillary Bettis), she wanted to be more then just a volunteer for Teatro. Victoria is an enrolled A honor roll student to Stevens HS and has journeyed through theatre courses since middle school. She is very social and loves interacting with new people and learning new things along the way.

Gabriel GonzalesGabriel Gonzales is ecstatic to be a part of a third show with Teatro Audaz. Gabriel is thankful to their mother for all her love and support. Previous roles include “Leopold” in “Never the Sinner” by John Logan, “Nick” in “Over the River and Through the Woods” by Joe DiPietro, “Snug” in “A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare, "Ting Annoucer" in "Luchadora!", and most recently "Robert Castillo" in "The Ghosts of Lote Bravo."

Clarissa RamosClarissa Ramos - (she/her/hers) is a proud, San Antonio based, Latina artist who is honored to be involved in her first production with Teatro Audaz. She has recently been seen as Lucy Steele in Sense and Sensibility at the Wimberley Players. She was also a 2021 Lab Company member at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY, where she spent the summer acting, singing, and jumping into waterfalls. Some of her favorite acting credits include Nina in The Nina Variations, Connie in Dance Nation, and Wendy in Lost Girl. Her favorite tech credits include stage managing Topdog/Underdog and directing Rabiosa by Nelson Diaz-Marcano at TAMUCC. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support in her theatre journey.

Mason Anthony OrtizMason Anthony Ortiz is an ATAC award-winning performer recently seen as Cricket/Aquili in The Hero Twins: Blood Race at The Magik Theater. Mason specializes in fight choreography, stunt performance, and physical comedy with his extensive movement and competitive combat background. After graduating from TAMUCC, Mason moved to Austin to work on Feature Films as a stunt coordinator and choreographer. In post-COVID, he has returned to his theater roots to continue the pursuit of his passion and growth in the arts and Latin Art Culture
Costume Designer
Jillian CamposJillian attended Texas State University and received her BFA in Theatre with a teaching certification. She is a passionate performer/technician who loves to share her passions with the youth of San Antonio. She is the head director at Scobee Middle School in SWISD in San Antonio, Texas. Her previous designer credits include Bad Hombres Good Wives (Costume Designer), where Jillian has received the Excellence in Costume Design award from the Alamo Theatre Arts Council. She would like to thank her family for all their support and her students, who remind her daily to continue growing and learning to be the best she can be!
Sound Designer
Axa SoriaAxa Soria has been blessed with the opportunity to be the Sound Designer for Somewhere Over the Border. Axa was born in Mexico and raised here in San Antonio keeping her close to her heritage and roots. Axa began her tech career at the Taft Theater department while she was in high school at the magnet school Communications Arts. She was able to be Assistant Director, Stage Manager and Production Manager for various shows throughout High School and professional career. Somewhere Over the Border is Axa’s seventh show at Teatro Audaz, her first six being The Ghosts of Lote Bravo.l, Luchadora!, Mariachi Girl, The Mesquite Tree, Bad Hombres Good Wives and La Pastorela Audaz she is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue working with them, the people, and the directors. Lighting Designer/Production Manager
Larry Martinez JrLarry Martinez Jr. is a 23-year-old theatre artist born in San Antonio, Texas. After spending 4 years in Corpus Christi, Texas, pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree at Texas A&M University, he is back in his hometown and excited to collaborate with artists in the city. He has lighting-designed shows with Teatro Audaz most recent season and is excited to return with this new season. He also works with multiple country/rock artists in various venues around Texas. He completed his first year as Jefferson High School’s Tech Director and teacher. Larry has three sisters and one brother, and he hopes to inspire them to chase their dreams and passion through his work.
Resident Stage Manager
Madissyn ZapataMadissyn Zapata is delighted to return to Teatro Audaz for a second season as the Resident Stage Manager, with “The Ghosts of Lote Bravo” as her 7th production. Born in Houston and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Madissyn has always been involved with the Fine Arts, continuing well into high school with Taft Theatre. Graduated from Communications Arts High School in 2021 and is currently enrolled in Northwest Vista College. She joined the Teatro Family with their musical production of “Mariachi Girl” in the spring of 2022. Madissyn would like to thank Teatro Audaz for the opportunity to aid in telling this story and her friends and family for their patience and for supporting her in her artistic endeavors.

Max EstudilloMax is a theatre artist in the Central Texas area that is so proud to be a part of this production. He is a Terry Scholar graduate from Texas State (Theatre Education, BFA) and College of the Mainland (Theatre, AA). His past technical/design credits include Midsummer Night’s Dream (SAC), and Teatro Audaz’ Luchadora!, Pastorela Audaz, Panza Monologues, and Bad Hombres, Good Wives. He is also VFW Post #9186’s Teacher of the Year 2023 and San Antonio Magazine’s Thank-A-Teacher of 2022. Gid De La RosaGid De La Rosa is excited to be involved with Tearo Audaz and making his debut music directing a community theatre production. Gid is a Choir Director at Davenport High School. Previous music directing credits include Seussical Jr, Rock of Ages, and Les Miserables. He wants to thank God for this opportunity and his family and friends for their support. He wants to specially thank his precious wife Amy for her constant support and being his shining star.
Associate Director/ Managing Director
Abe RamirezAbe has worked as Performer, Choreographer, Technical Director, Electrician, Production Stage Manager, Designer, and Director for various venues across Texas. He has been seen as Luzbel in La Pastorela with Teatro Audaz, Ricky Ricardo in Babalu: An I Love Lucy Parody with KGJ Productions, and was a part of Da! Theatre Collective’s DAYBOYNIGHTGIRL. Abe has Stage Managed for Teatro Audaz’s Casa De Muneca, Taming of the Shrew, Curanderas & Chocolate and Frida Vice Versa, and was Co-Director of Men of the Verge of a His-PANIC Breakdown. Abe holds a BFA in Theatre from Southwestern University and a MA in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He was awarded Technical Director of the Year at Texas Thespians for the 2021 School Year, Teacher of the Year for 2023 and is also 1/3rd of the folks behind MAB Technical Theatre Compendium. Director/ Executive Artistic Director
Laura T. GarzaLaura is the new Theatre Coordinator and Director at SAC and the Executive Artistic Director of Teatro Audaz San Antonio, and she is honored to be a resident at The Public Theater and for the opportunity to showcase this production in The Cellar Theater. Laura has an AA in Drama (San Antonio College), a BA in Theatre Arts (the University of Incarnate Word), and an MFA in Directing (Texas State University), and she has also trained abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Before returning to SAC, she worked as a Theatre educator/director for the past 9 years, most recently as part of the 2021 6A UIL OAP State Champion Taft High School Theatre team. Laura has won 3 ATAC awards for her acting and directing work. Other honors include; The Kennedy Center Washington D.C. - 2010 KCACTF Merit Award for directing and sound design and the 2011 KCACTF Directing Award and National Finalist.
