Ray Seams (Narrator)
Ray is ecstatic to be reuniting with Teatro Audaz! A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, he has been performing since the age of 5. He has worked at theatres across the US but is thrilled to call the San Antonio theatre community home. Recent credits include: Peter & the Starcatcher (Mrs. Bumbrake), Hairspray (Edna - ATAC Globe Award Recipient), A Christmas Carol (Charles Dickens), The Drowsy Chaperone (Feldzig), Aye, No! (Starkeisha), Bright Colors & Bold Patterns (Gerry), Beauty & the Beast (Cogsworth), Thank You for Being a Friend: A Golden Girls Parody (Clayton).
Danell Gonzales (Reina)
Dani Gonzales is a drama major at San Antonio College. She has been performing since she can remember and has played many roles such as Hermia from A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare and Raquel Cantu in Hilary Bettis’ Ghosts of Lote Bravo. Dani is extremely grateful to be continuing her craft with Teatro Audaz and hopes to further her career and open her own Theatre one day.
Isabela De La Cerda (Julia)
sabel De La Cerda is a music educator/director/vocal coach in various schools and theater companies in the San Antonio area who holds a B.A. in Music with an emphasis in vocal performance from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. Isabel’s recent performances include American Mariachi, Mariachi Girl, The Panza Monologues, and a virtual performance of Cenicienta, a Quinceañera with a taste of Cinderella. Isabel is the Director of Marketing & PR and Special Events on Teatro Audaz’s Board, the Director of Philanthropies Foundation in Mu Phi Epsilon (MPE), an international professional music fraternity, serves as Vice President of the San Antonio Alumni Chapter, and is District Director for collegiate chapters. Isabel promotes musicianship, scholarship, and music education with an emphasis on service through music in the community. Isabel is excited to be apart of the Texas premier of Somewhere Over The Border by Brian Quijada
Ernesto Dominguez (Adan/Cruz)
Ernesto Dominguez is excited to be a part of Teatro Audaz’ production of Somewhere Over the Border! His favorite moments on stage include his roles as: Vanya in Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike; Nunzio in Over the River and Through the Woods; Reporter #3 in Never the Sinner; and Leopold in his latest performance of Luchadora!. He’s excited to perform in his first musical since 2018, and is happy to be a part of such a wonderful cast and production team!
Amy Mireles De La Rosa (Antonia/Leona)
Amy is thrilled to perform with Teatro for the first time! Favorite credits include American Mariachi Isabel (Public Theatre), Pajama Game Brenda (Public Theatre) and Christmas Carol Mrs. Cratchit (Public Theatre). She would like to thank her wonderful husband and her family for all of their undying support. Colossians 3:17
Gabriel Luera (Napolean/Silvano)
Gabriel Itzcoatl Luera (Napoleano/Silvano) is making his return to the stage after a three year hiatus. He was most recently seen as Mack/Sanchez.Grempkin. Fighting Prawn in Peter and the Starcatcher. Before his hiatus, he was seen acting in theater's around San Antonio such as Pertruchio in The Taming and the Shrew, as Duke/ Solinus/Dr. Pincher in Una Comedia De Errores, as Eliades/Palomo in Anna and the Tropics, as Lord Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, and as Man 1&5 other British Characters in Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Also a playwright, his writing credits include Dos Chicanos, Un Camino, Flesh and Blood, Tecatos, Niños Santos, My Sweet Abandon, Two in Hand (Viva Theatre 48 Hr PlayFestival), and Who is We (TheatreNOW 24 Hr Play Festival). Gabriel is honored to be back working with Teatro Audaz and director, Laura T. Garza.
Angie Flores (Ensemble)
Angela Flores is Extremely excited to take the stage in Teatro Audaz's musical production of "Somewhere Over the Border". A San Antonio native whose passion for acting comes from the love of her city's culture and musical theater. She aspires to be an educator with a desire to give back to the communities that helped mold her. This will be her third production with Teatro and has been Greatful to be part of a great familia of talented artists. She attends San Antonio College after 20 years of gaining life experience, where she will earn her Associates of arts with the hope and faith that she will then transfer to Texas state in San Marcos, TX obtain her Bachelors of Arts and one day her Masters of Fine Arts. Special thanks to Tina Sanchez, Jennifer Guajardo and the Flores Family for never letting her give up on her dreams! SI SE PUEDE!
Esai Gomez (Ensemble)
Esai recently graduated Medina Valley HS with an emphasis in Theater. In recent years, his dedication to Theater has grown, as well as his interests and connections with like-minded individuals in conjunction with Our Lady of The Lake and St. John Berchmans in the program "Encuentros". He wants to thank his family and friends for pushing him towards his goals and sees the very best in him!
Olivia Garces (Ensemble)
Olivia Jude has been acting and singing for 7 years. Liv has appeared in plays, short films, and music videos. They have also been filming/editing short films for 5 years and has recently started directing shows. She will be attending AMDA College of the Preforming Arts this year in New York to study musical theatre and content creation.
Crystal Bratton (Ensemble)
Crystal M. Bratton is a writer, actress, singer, and designer. As a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz and the Latine experience, she’s excited to perform with Teatro Audaz for the first time and can’t wait to share this amazing show with all of you! Crystal enjoys practicing her craft as a Resident Actor at The Public Theatre, performing around the city, writing books and scripts, teaching acting & playwriting for Seniors in Play, teaching college writing, and designing papel picado and dragon-inspired goodies. She has B.A.s in Theatre Arts & Spanish from Yale, an M.A. in Drama from TWU, and an MFA in Creative Writing for Media Arts. Previous credits include: American Mariachi (Soyla), Footloose (Eleanor), and Moon Over Buffalo (Rosalind). She’s grateful for the support of her family and friends and she balances all the things."
Miranda Valdez-Williams (Ensemble)
Miranda Valdez-Williams (Ensemble) is so excited to be joining Teatro Audaz for another amazing production. She would like to thank Teatro Audaz for all of the opportunity and support they’ve provided over the years, as well as her loving Husband Dominick and Family for their never ending love and encouragement. Miranda has also starred in Luchadora (Hannah), La Pastorella (Vanidad), and Aye, No! (Alicia)
Anastacia Islas (Ensemble)
Anastacia Islas is the Theatre Arts Director at Marion High School in Marion Tx. She has a BA in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and also studied theatre at San Antonio College. She is also currently working towards her MA in Theatre Arts at Texas A&M Commerce with plans to graduate summer 2024! This summer she acted as the Associate Director for Teatro Audaz' Luchadora . Last year she took part in four shows with Teatro Audaz, previous shows include La Pastorela, The Panza Monologues Tour, The Mesquite Tree, and Bad Hombres/Good Wives where she won an Alamo Theatre Arts Council award for best supporting actress! She is super excited to be telling Latinx stories with such wonderful and talented people. She would like to thank her family and students for their support!
John Perez (Ensemble)
𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗡 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗭 is a theatre teacher at Pat Neff Middle School. He attended TAMUCC where he got his Bachelors in Theatre with a teacher certification and also went to SAC. He has been in shows at The Woodlawn Theatre and also in Teatro Audaz’s production of 𝘽𝙖𝙙 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙨/𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙒𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨(Padre Alberto). He was last seen at The Public Theater of San Antonio's production of 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙟𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚 (Hasler/Pop) and Merrily We Roll Along (Jerome/Ensemble). John is very excited to be back in another production with Teatro Audaz.
AnaLisa Leos (Percussionist)
AnaLisa Leos-Garcia has been playing music, directing, acting, stage managing, and teaching theater for the past 20 years. She received her BS from Texas A&M San Antonio in Interdisciplinary Studies, while being involved in the various aspects of community theater and theater education. AnaLisa is currently the Theater Director at Lanier HIgh School and sits on the EDIA and Artistic Committee for The Public Theater of San Antonio. Past directing/stage management/acting credits include Anel. I Flores’ Empanada, Real Women Have Curves, Among the Sand and Smog, Two Sisters and a Piano, Aye,No!; The Glam Clam, Dos Chicanos,Un Camino; Con Flama, Jotos Del Barrio, Miss America: A Mexicanito Fairy’s Tale; Thank You For Being A Friend: A Golden Girl Parody ; and On Tidy Endings.
Pianist (Letslie Molina)
Letslie Molina was born in 1996 and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico. She earned her BA in Music Composition UTSA and is currently pursuing a MA in Ethnomusicology at the UT of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In 2017, she was awarded an Educational Research Fellowship by the UTSA Mexico Center that allowed her to carry out fieldwork in the Yucatan Peninsula to collect music samples from individuals of Mayan descent. In 2018, Letslie was commissioned to compose the music for The Poetics, a play about the life and times of the Greek philosopher Aristotle. As a composer and performer, her music incorporates sounds from Latin folk music, bird songs, and canciones de protesta (protest songs). Letslie’s research focuses on topics of gender, class, and racial intersectionality amongst young Chicano and Latinx musicians. She wishes to blend her work as a composer and ethnomusicologist and to raise awareness of racial and gender issues in the U.S. and Latin America.
Bassist (Kalli Izquierdo)
Kalli grew up in Laredo, Texas, and moved to San Antonio in 2017. In her free time, she likes reading novels, most recently reading Sarah Schulman, or watching movies, or going out for drinks. This will be her second time playing bass in a musical, which is pretty exciting for Kalli, as an ardent lover of both the bass guitar and theater.
Guitarist (Daniel Miller)
Daniel Miller is a guitarist from the San Antonio area that has been playing locally since 2016. Daniel has played in all kinds of bands around SA including Indie Rock, Jazz, and Country. He is currently working on getting his alternative choir teacher's certification while also working on his next Country album.
