Set in the bustling city of Agrabah, Aladdin Jr. follows Aladdin and his loyal friends Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, as they dream of a life beyond the marketplace streets. When Aladdin meets Princess Jasmine, who longs to escape the constraints of palace life, their connection sparks a chain of events that puts them at odds with the powerful and manipulative Jafar. With the help of a larger-than-life Genie, Aladdin is thrust into a whirlwind of daring escapes, disguises, and tough choices as he tries to protect Jasmine and stop Jafar’s rise to power. Full of beloved songs, humor, and heart, Aladdin Jr. highlights the tension between truth and illusion, and reminds us that being true to who you are is the greatest magic of all.

The Summit Hill Junior High Drama Club was proudly re-established in 2022, debuting with a lively and successful production of High School Musical Jr. Since then, the program has grown into a vibrant part of our school community, engaging between 50 and 80 students each year in all aspects of theater — from performing on stage to working behind the scenes in set design, stage crew, and technical production.

Our mission is to provide students with meaningful opportunities to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop teamwork and leadership skills through the magic of live performance. Each production is a chance for students to learn, collaborate, and share their talents with the Summit Hill community.

We are deeply grateful to our school administration, district leadership, and the many families whose encouragement and support make this program — and so many others — possible. Together, we continue to make the arts a lasting and celebrated tradition at Summit Hill Junior High.
