Sharon has been a STAGEtwo family member for years now, along with, well, the entire Dennis/Appel clan! Before moving to Evansville 10 years ago, she lived all over as a military wife and then spent 16 years teaching theatre in El Paso, TX. She’s a familiar face on stage, but also works behind the scenes. Heavenly Manor won the 2019 STAGEtwo Summer Playwriting Workshop, and she wants to thank Alice Shen and all of the other workshop members!

Katy has worked in all aspects of theatre for practically her whole life and has no intention of stopping any time soon! A bit of a nomad, she was born in “the Big Middle” (aka Kansas) before clicking her heels and heading to Cali for her Masters in Theatre Directing, and then working in the San Francisco and LA areas as a graphic designer and art director. We hooked her to direct Heavenly Manor by deviously… letting her read the hilarious script. She says she stays in Evansville because “hey, you’ve got strombolis” and if that’s what it takes to keep her in the STAGEtwo fam, we will happily provide them.

Charles retired as the Technical Director for Evansville Civic Theatre, and has trained at least one generation of local theatre artists, so we’re so chuffed to have him come help us out here at STAGEtwo! He loves restoring very old, very broken furniture, and is spending his retirement doing the same to his very old house. It surprises no one who knows Charles that we just have to let him tell his origin story in his own words: “I found theater by accident in the mid 60's as the janitor. I made the mistake of coming to work early and watching a play. It's a horrible addiction that I've tried to quit many times. Alas, here I am again.” He has been married to the fantastic Vicki (aka “Miss Honey”) for 32 years who is “my solid ground, my partner, my supporter, and taught me to say the word no.”

Samantha was an assistant stage manager for STAGEtwo’s sold out production of Rent! She was born and raised across the river in Henderson, KY, and still lives there. She loves stage managing (which we love to hear) and credits her amazing support system, with her family and friends. “They truly keep me grounded and they’ve supported my love for theatre for years.”
