Mrs. Bradman, Grace (Ann Baden)
This is Ann's eighteenth play with the Miracle Players. Some of the plays she has appeared in include Music Man; The King and I; Murder's in the Heir; Wonderland; Damn Yankees; The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens; Secret Garden; Fiddler on the Roof; Our Town and Man of La Mancha. She is a lector at St. Gabriel's and decided that if she could read in front of a church full of people, she could recite lines in a theater full of people.
Director (Paul Ballard)
Paul is thrilled to be directing this classic play so brilliantly written by Noel Coward. Paul has frequently been seen on the St. Gabriel Miracle Players stage in a variety of dramatic and comic roles, including Sancho Panza in Man of La Mancha, Professor Bhaer in Little Women, Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, and most recently, the Old Man in A Christmas Story. Paul will be playing the role of Captain Von Trapp in St. Gabriel Miracle Players’ upcoming production of The Sound of Music this Spring. Paul wishes to thank Kacy Conley for giving him the opportunity to direct a play for the first time in over 40 years. Paul also wishes to thank the terrific cast and crew for their wonderful work on this production. He is so grateful to be participating in live theater once again. Most especially, Paul thanks his wife, Jan Danek, for recommending Blithe Spirit and for all her enduring love and support no matter what life brings.
Ruth (Deb Carson)
Deb is thrilled to be returning to the stage for her 5th season with the Miracle Players. Favorite roles include Lettie (Somethings Afoot!), Snoopy (YAGMCB!), The White Queen (Wonderland!) and M’lynn (Steel Magnolias). Deep appreciation to my stage husband Lenny for all his patience and support and to Molly for always having my back. Congrats to the entire cast for their commitment to this creation, and to Paul for his leadership. As always, much love to my Sun and Moon, Hugh.
Producer, Mrs. Bradman (Kacy Conley)
Kacy has been with the Miracle Players for over 30 years. Highlights have included various roles producing, directing and acting - directing Oliver!, Kismet, Nuncrackers, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cinderella, Murder’s in the Heir, and Rented Christmas. Kacy also performed as Mrs. Julia Gibbs in Our Town, Frumah-Sara in Fiddler on the Roof, Alice in The Secret Garden, Mother in Cheaper by the Dozen, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Sister Helen in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up, Mom Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life, the Sorceress of the North in Wizard of Oz, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Mrs. Pearce in My Fair Lady, and Lady Thiang in The King and I. She thanks her husband Dan for all his support. She is especially thankful to the wonderful production team, cast and crew led by Paul Ballard.
Set Designer (Lucretia Field)
Lucrecia is excited to be doing live theater again! Theater has always been a part of her life in various forms though her focus recently has been on the technical and fabrication side. She designed her most exciting set, a degrading train station in a post climate apocalypse interpretation of The Winter’s Tale, while studying Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University. Edith (Molly Laska)
Molly has been acting for 18 years and almost 30 shows. She is excited to return to the stage after a 2 year hiatus thanks in part to her knack for stage management. Favorite credits include The Latest Show (Katherine), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), and the Greasy Utterson’s virtual production of The Secret Garden (Mrs. Sowerby) watch out for it coming soon wherever you get your podcasts! Molly’s passion has taken her from Cleveland to earning her degrees in Oxford, Ohio and now that work has brought her here, she’s happy to find a home in Baltimore. She wants to thank her family, friends and entire support system in between. Especially Deb and Meghan for keeping her sane while trying to juggle two rehearsal schedules!
Madam Arcotti (Angelica Peaco)
Angelica is thrilled to be back on stage after the past year and a half. This is only her second ever straight theatrical piece and is proud to share the stage with such a talented group of actors. Previous roles include (Ilona), She Loves Me (Silhouette Stages) and (Alice Beineke) The Addams Family (York College of Pennsylvania). She wishes to send a huge thank you to her family and friends, who always have her back and support her no matter what.
Dr. Bradman (George Steinrock)
Thanks to Olivia and serendipity, George is excited to be back on stage after several years. Previously, he has enjoyed performing in The Sound of Music, Annie and Godspell. This farcical turn with Miracle Players’ (two!) casts has been a lot of fun. A shout-out to Beth for allowing me another chance to take the stage.
Edith (Olivia Steinrock)
Olivia is excited to play Edith in Cast A. She has performed in several productions with Memorial Players in Baltimore, including roles in Mame (Patrick), The Sound of Music (Louisa), Annie (Pepper) and Oliver! (Bet). She was Fraulein Kost in a high school production of Cabaret. When not on stage, Olivia enjoys working as a dog trainer, specializing in Service Dogs. Scrapbooking and arts & crafts are favorite pastimes. A huge shout-out to her Dad (Dr. Bradman) for continuing to do theatre with Olivia.
Charles Condomine (Lenny Taube)
Lenny is delighted to return to the Miracle Players stage! Past MP productions include Mr. Sowerberry in Oliver!, Bert Healy in Annie, Zebulan in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Barber/Ensemble in Man of La Mancha and Tony in The Plot, like Gravy, Thickens. Lenny would like to thank Paul for the opportunity and the rest of the cast and crew for their talent and dedication in bringing this Noel Coward classic to life. Enjoy the show...and remember, be careful if someone invites you to a séance. You never know who you may conjure up!
Madam Arcotti (Heidi Toll)
Heidi also functioned as the Assistant to the Director and provided Properties. Heidi has directed many musicals for Miracle Players (next is SOUND of MUSIC in May, 2022). She just retired from the Maryland State Dept of Education and is glad theaters are performing again after 2020. She has played Madame Arcati twice before and is being type-cast. And, yes Laura Toll (Elvira) is her daughter. Other favorite roles: Julia in Lend Me a Tenor for Heritage, Emma Goldman in Ragtime, Joanne in Company & Charlotte in Moon Over Buffalo in Laurel, Nancy in Oliver (twice) Baroness Elsa in Sound of Music, Jenny Diver in Threepenny Opera & Abigail Adams in 1776. Elvira (Laura Toll)
Laura was last seen on the Miracle Players stage as Nancy in Oliver! Favorite roles include Lucy in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Baroness Elsa in The Sound of Music, Lois Lane/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate, Lily St. Regis in Annie, Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense, Florinda and Lucinda in Into the Woods. Laura is an audiologist by day and assists wedding planners with events on the weekends. Thanks to Paul for this opportunity. Much love to momma, Jenny, and The Boo!
