The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Cast
Kacy Conley (Edna McCarthy)Kacy is thrilled to bring to the stage again The Best Christmas Pageant Ever which was last on the Miracle Player’s Stage 20 years ago. This time, she is excited to perform with her Baby Angel Grandadughter, Sophia. Kacy has been involved with the Miracle Players producing, directing, and acting for over 36 years which has been a joy. She also enjoys being a St. Gabriel cantor and choir member and performing with the Howard County Fabulous 50+ Players. Big thanks to her husband Dan for his support and hard work. Without him, the show would not go on. A major shout out of gratitude to Director, Ann Marie and the wonderful and persistent production team, and this talented cast.
Terri DePaola (Mother)Terri is happy to be back with the Miracle Players, reprising the role of Mother that she first performed 20 years ago on this very stage. At that time, her daughter, Samantha played Maxine in the show. Time flies when you’re having FUN! She has been involved with the Miracle Players in some way or another since 1998! When not on the stage, she is out helping people buy and sell homes in her Real Estate role. In her spare time, she loves to spend time at the beach and in her garden. She hopes you enjoy watching The Best Christmas Pageant EVER!
Melanie Gaines (Fridays and Sundays) (Mrs. Clausing)Melanie is thrilled to make her stage debut with the St. Gabriel Miracle Players. Melanie is a caregiver by day and enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. Much love to Hakim, Dillon, and Dailynn.
Pamela Jones (Mrs. Slocum/Firefighter)Pamela became a member of the St. Gabriel Miracle Players in 2022. Roles included a nun in The Sound of Music and Liat in South Pacific. She thanks her supporters.
Bill Kohlhoff (Reverend Hopkins)Bill has appeared here in South Pacific, Death on the Nile, and The Wizard of Oz. He has also been in Laughstock and A Raisin in the Sun at Spotlighters, Twelfth Night at Laurel Mill, Trifles at Monkton Mill, and 70 Girls 70 at Salem Players. Glad to be back.
Douglas Kotula (Father)Douglas was last seen in Something’s Afoot as Nigel Rancour. He also appeared in The Wizard of Oz (Prof. Marvel/Oz), and Annie (Daddy Warbucks). He holds a master’s degree in theatre from NYU and is Lansdowne High School’s Theatre Arts Magnet teacher. Favorite roles include Levi (Joseph…Dreamcoat), Teen Angel (Grease!), Captain Von Trapp (The Sound of Music), Captain Hook (Peter Pan and Wendy) and King (The King and I – GAP and PFT).
David Palewicz (Firefighter)David is the proud father of 2 girls who are very excited to be in this production and an IT professional with no prior stage experience. Though his wife did not mention there would be fire involved when he agreed to the task, he has greatly enjoyed learning what happens behind the scenes while accompanying his daughters to rehearsals.
Jess Palewicz (Saturdays) (Mrs. Clausing)Jess is an RN with no theater experience. She has two amazingly talented, enthusiastic daughters in this play and is so thankful for this opportunity to take part in something they are passionate about! Special thanks to all the kids in this production for the laughter and entertainment, I can't wait to see how far you all go!
Rowan Palewicz (Gladys Herdman)Rowan has been on the Star Kids stage twice before, once as Bat #4 in Squirm and once as an Additional Pea in How Does Your Garden Groove, which was particularly challenging because peas are the grossest vegetable. She is 6 years old and loves her family, rainbows, and eating meat.
Willow Palewicz (Beth Bradley)Willow has been in 3 previous plays through Star Kids. She most enjoyed her vocal solo as Black Widow in Squirm and narrating as Franny Farmer in How Does Your Garden Groove. She is 9 years old and loves reading, singing, and playing with her bunny, Bandit.
Heidi Toll (Mrs. Clark)Heidi recently played Grandmother Edna in 70 Girls 70 for Salem Players. She has directed 15 musicals for St. Gabriel Miracle Players. Last seen here in Something’s Afoot and Blithe Spirit. Favorite roles include: Anna in The King & I, Nancy in Oliver, Abigail Adams in 1776, Elsa in The Sound of Music, Joanne in Company, Jenny Diver in Three Penny Opera, Emma Goldman in Ragtime, Stepmother in Into the Woods.
Ann Baden (Mrs. Helen Armstrong)Ann has appeared in more than 20 Miracle Players productions. Some of the plays she has appeared in include The Wizard of Oz, Murder on the Nile, South Pacific, Little Princess, The Sound of Music, Blithe Spirit, Music Man, The King and I, Murder's in the Heir, Wonderland, Damn Yankees, Secret Garden, The Fiddler on the Roof, Our Town, and Man of La Mancha. She is a lector at Our Lady of the Angels and decided that if she could read in front of a church full of people, she could recite lines in a theater full of people.
Anne Akchin (Maxine)
Anne is glad to be returning to the Miracle Players after roles in The Wizard of Oz, Murder on the Nile, A Little Princess, The Sound of Music, and Oliver. When not acting, Annie enjoys piano, softball, and reading the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. Annie, age 10, is in fifth grade at the Christiana Homeschool Academy. She can usually be found avoiding homework in her yard on a scooter or a bike. Annie likes pigs and someday when her parents aren’t looking, she hopes to adopt one. On behalf of all the Akchin kids, Annie wants to thank both Grammies, her Pop Pop, her cousins Alex and Abby Lawrence, and her other cousins Dottie and Jeff Gray and future baby Gray.
Edmund Akchin (David)
Edmund, age 6, is a first grader at Christiana Homeschool Academy. Ned loves playing baseball, watching the Orioles, and pandas. He returns to the stage after his debut as a Munchkin in the Miracle Players production of The Wizard of Oz. He would like to thank Gunnar Henderson.
Margaret Akchin (Alice Wendleken)
Margaret has previously taken the stage in Miracle Players' productions of The Wizard of Oz, Murder on the Nile, South Pacific, A Little Princess, The Sound of Music, Oliver, Annie, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Maggie, age 13, is an eighth grader at Christiana Homeschool Academy. Maggie likes to read and write fiction. She loves to argue and get all of her homework done so that she can read and write fiction. On behalf of her siblings and herself, Maggie wants to thank her Aunt Jenny, her Aunt Lise, her Uncle Steve, and her Uncle Matt.
Peter Akchin (Ollie Herdman)
Peter is returning to Miracle Players for his third show. He previously appeared in The Wizard of Oz and A Little Princess. Peter, age 8, is in third grade at the Christiana Homeschool Academy. He is always hungry and never quiet. He enjoys puzzles, playing Clue, watching Murder She Wrote, and playing with his best friend and brother Ned. Peter would like to thank all of his castmates and directors.
Isaac Bell (Hobie)
Isaac is making his debut in this performance. Isaac enjoys all things scary, purple, or unicorn. Isaac plays piano and is in both dance and karate. He is excited to be appearing alongside his brothers (William and Elliott).
Kamden Boyd (Charlie Bradley)
Kamden is a 10-year-old 5th grader at Watershed Elementary School. This is his second year with Miracle Players, and he is thrilled to take on the role of Charlie Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Last year, Kamden played a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz and he’s excited to return to the stage with a new, fun role. When he’s not acting, Kamden enjoys reading, playing sports, and spending time with his friends and family. He’s thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a talented group and hopes you enjoy the show!
Zoe Boyd (Claudia)
Zoe is thrilled to be making her stage debut as Claudia in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! At 14 years old, she is excited to bring her character to life in this heartwarming holiday play. Although this is her first time on stage, Zoe has always had a passion for the performing arts and is eager to share her love of theater with the audience. When she's not rehearsing, she enjoys dancing and making TikTok videos. Zoe is grateful to her family, friends, and the cast and crew for their support as she embarks on this exciting new adventure. She hopes you enjoy the show and that it brings a little extra holiday cheer to your season!
Sage Clark (Doris)
Sage is a 5th grader at Watershed Public Charter School and is super excited to be part of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! This is her second production with the Miracle Players. Her first was as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz and she’s thrilled to be back on stage with this amazing group. Outside of Miracle Players, Sage played Matilda in Matilda the Musical, which was one of her favorite roles ever! When she’s not singing, dancing, or memorizing lines, Sage loves reading, drawing, and making up stories of her own. She sends a big thank you to her directors, castmates, and her awesome family for cheering her on.
Sean Clark (Baby Angel)
Sean is a 1st grader at Watershed Public Charter School and is excited to make his on-stage debut in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! He’s playing one of the adorable Baby Angels and is having a blast being part of his very first play. When he’s not busy rehearsing, Sean loves building and playing with cars, especially super-fast ones. He’s proud to be sharing the stage with his big sister, Sage, and sends a big high-five to his directors and family for helping him shine.
Sophia Conley (Baby Angel)
Sophia is participating in her first production. She is a kindergartener at St. Philip Neri and the granddaughter of our producer, Kacy Conley. Sophia loves singing, soccer, gymnastics, and dancing. Her musical tastes include metal covers of Disney soundtracks, Sabrina Carpenter, and Boney M. She is thrilled to make her stage debut and thanks her family for their support.
Bryan Dunn (Angel Choir)
Bryan played Jerome in South Pacific in the Miracle Players’ play in 2023. Bryan attends Arlington Baptist School. He likes to sing and is in the choir at church. Maybe this year, I can be devoted to God more.
Dillion Gaines (Elmer)
Dillon is delighted to be making his stage debut with St. Gabriel Miracle Players. He is a 7th grade student at Watershed Public Charter School. Some of his other talents/interests include visual arts and singing. He thanks his family and friends for their love and support!
Elliott Lowrey (Baby Angel)
Elliott is making his debut in this performance. Elliott is in both dance and karate. Elliott can usually be found palling around with his brothers (William and Isaac) and says his favorite thing is his Mama. He says hello and sends his love to Mama, William, and Isaac.
Willaim Lowrey (Ralph)
William was last seen as Fritz in Baltimore Ballet’s The Nutcracker. He has been in ballet since he was 3 years old. William enjoys drawing, reading, playing piano, doing karate, and playing Minecraft with his friends. Thank you to my incredible mother.
Madison Njoku (Imogene Herdsman)
Madison is 12 years old. This is her second show with Miracle Players. She is very excited to play Imogene in this production.
Michelle Osuizugbo (Angel Choir)
Michelle is 12 years old and in the 7th grade. She has been in two shows. Michelle enjoys dance, cheerleading, and singing. She has been in more than eight concerts. She loves this cast and really enjoyed working with them to bring you this show. She hopes to do this again!
Siddharth Sharma (Leroy Herdman)
Siddharth is 10 years old and in 5th grade at Jeffers Hill Elementary School. Siddarth’s interests include learning and playing piano, violin, participating in school plays, and gymnastics.
Fechi Uwaoma (Beverly)
Fechi is 18 years old. She attends Owings Mills High School and is actively involved in the school choir. Fechi previously appeared with Miracle Players in The Wizard of Oz.
Lyla Uwaoma (Angel Choir)
Lyla is 12 years old and is in 7th grade. Lyla has never done acting before but this year wants to try it. She is in technical theater. She loves to draw and try new things.
Ugonna Uwaoma (Angel Choir)
Ugonna has never done acting before and this is her first time trying to experience and learn new things about acting. She plans to work hard to play the best role for the angel choir this year. Ugonna is part of St. Gabriel parish and goes to Owings Mills high school. She loves to dance, write, and beauty personality.
Kyro Boyd (Baby Angel)
Kyro is excited to be returning for his second year with the Miracle Players! A proud second grader, Kyro will appear as a baby angel in the Angel Choir. Last year, he delighted audiences as a member of the Lollipop Guild and a Munchkin from Munchkinland in The Wizard of Oz. He is thrilled to be back on stage sharing his joy and love for performing!
