Hugh Carson (Colonel Gillweather)
Hugh is happy to be back on stage along with his wonderfully talented wife Deb. Past show credits include The Music Man (Mayor Shinn), The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), and Hairspray (Corny Collins). Hugh would like to point out that while he may be playing a grizzled, old, British war veteran, he is not British, grizzled, or a vet. He is, however, old. Special thanks to this extraordinary cast and crew.
Terri DePaola (Miss Tweed)
Terri is happy to be back on the Miracle Players stage for this fun murder mystery. She has been involved with the Miracle Players in some way or another since 1998! This is one of her more major roles so even more fun! When not on the stage, she is out helping people buy and sell homes in her Real Estate role. In her spare time, she loves to spend time at the beach and in her garden. Hope that you enjoy this jolly good show – the butler didn’t do it, or did he?
Deb Carson (Lady Grace Manley-Prowe)
Deb is happy to be returning for her 10th (or so) show with the Miracle Players, having most recently played the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. Prior roles include Jackie (Death on the Nile), Elsa (The Sound of Music), Ruth (Blithe Spirit), and Widow Corney (Oliver!), Lady Cilia (Gorey Stories), Clytemnestra (Electra), and Lady Capulet (R&J). Deep appreciation to Ken, Kay, her castmates, and production team for all their hard work; it’s been a lot of fun treading the boards with all of you! Extra shout out with gratitude and love to Hugh-- thanks for keeping this thespian laughing!
June Frank (Lettie)
June says acting is like riding a bike – you never forget! It’s great to be back on stage again after stepping away for a bit, especially with this cast. From building sets to making actors shine on stage, it takes a lot of moving pieces to produce a show and she thanks everyone involved. She’s been on stage with many shows and enjoyed every minute. June thanks you for coming to help solve this mystery & have some laughs along the way! Special shoutout to Bob - her wonderful husband and Tech Director who supports everything she does!
Heidi Toll (Dr. Grayburn)
Heidi often directs musicals for Miracle Players and is excited to take on this role. A native of Ohio, Heidi earned a Bachelor of Music there and is retired from the State of Maryland Education department. Favorite roles are Queen Margaret & Queen Elizabeth I because queens have the best costumes. And fyi, she loves chocolate brownies.
Douglas Kotula (Nigel Rancour)
Douglas appeared as Prof. Marvel/Oz in MP's Wizard of Oz and prior as Daddy Warbucks in Annie. Douglas holds a master's degree in Theatre from NYU and is Lansdowne High School's Theatre Arts magnet teacher. Favorite roles include King (The King and I/PFT & GAP), Capt. Von Trapp (The Sound of Music), Levi (Joseph...Dreamcoat), and Captain Hook (Peter Pan & Wendy). "Thank you, Deb and Kay for this opportunity."
Sam Wright  (Clive)
Sam recently returned to the stage. He has been the Stage Manager for The Sound of Music, and South Pacific, and Murder on the Nile. For The Wizard of Oz, he played the Cowardly Lion. Tonight, Sam claims to be not guilty, or at least that’s his story! Thank you for attending the show!
Ken Berry (Flint)
Ken Is delighted to be working with the Miracle Players once again, this time as both show director and actor. Previous roles with the Miracle Players include the Cat in the Hat in Seussical and Mr. Carrisford in A Little Princess. Ken’s passion for theater has taken him to various venues throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania. Some favorite roles of late include, Sancho (Man of La Mancha), Harold the Hermit (Young Frankenstein, the Musical), Maurice (Beauty and the Beast), and Herr Schultz (Cabaret). His all-time favorite role has been as husband to his supportive and talented wife, N. Kay Lenhart, the Music Director. Ken sends a shout out to his long-time friends and theater colleagues, Deb and Hugh Carson, AKA Lady Manley-Prowe and Colonel Gillweather. In addition, Ken thanks God, a perfectly marvelous cast, both accompanists, the tech crew, and show producers, Kacy Conley and Heidi Toll.
Johnny Drew (Geoffrey)
Johnny is thrilled to bring the charming and enigmatic Geoffrey to life in Something’s Afoot. Favorite credits include Orin Scrivello D.D.S (Little Shop of Horrors), Papa Bear (Shrek), Schroeder (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), Rooster (Annie), and Monsieur D’Argue (Beauty and the Beast). He has also appeared in The Little Mermaid and RENT. Johnny is honored to work under the direction of Deborah Carson and the musical direction of Natalie Lenhart. He extends heartfelt thanks to the production team and cast for their creativity and dedication. Endless gratitude to his friends and family for their unwavering support and encouragement. Enjoy the show as Johnny takes the stage, delivering a performance full of mystery, charm, and laughter!
Sydney Pelletier (Hope Langdon)
Sydney is excited to be rejoining the Miracle Players for the fifth time. She has previously been in The Wizard of Oz, Murder on the Nile, South Pacific, and The Sound of Music. Sydney has lots of gratitude for her fellow cast mates and crew members for all their hard work and dedication to this show. When she is not performing with the Miracle Players, Sydney performs at children’s community events around Maryland as a princess party performer. Sydney extends thanks to her voice teacher Toni Stefano, and her family for their unwavering support.
