Corey Loftus (Bat Boy/Edgar)
Corey Loftus (Bat Boy / Edgar) is so very excited to be part of this show. This was a bucket list show, and this role is one he could really sink his teeth into. Past roles: Featured soloist in Sounds of the Season, A Concert of Life and Love (Spotlight), Featured Dancer in Guys and Dolls (In the Wings, SI NY), Cat in the Hat (Seussical Nat'l Tour), Silvius in As You Like It (Orlando Shakespeare), Chino in WSS (ECU), Jack in Into the Woods (Elon U). BFA Music Theater, Elon University. He truly couldn't have done it without the love and support of his amazing family and friends. Shea Ryan (Dr. Parker)
Shea Ryan studied at The New Actor's Workshop in NYC where he worked with Mike Nichols, George Morrison and Paul Sills. He later went into post production and still enjoys crafting zero budget films. Shea was most recently seen in the Spotlight Theatre Company production of Godspell, in Concert. However, Shea's greatest love is for his wife and children Tricia, Fiona, Aidan and Calliope.
Ariel Marcus-Hollenbeck (Meredith Parker)
Ariel Marcus-Hollenbeck (she/her) is a Staten Island native with a flair for whimsy and a zest for the spoken word. She is the Festival Producer of the Women's+ Playwright Collective of Staten Island (in its 6th season) and the Artistic Director of the Educational Arts Company IlluminArt Productions. Ariel is currently pursuing her Masters in Performing Arts Management at Brooklyn College.
Aly Marie Mazzie (Shelly Parker)
Aly Marie Mazzie is SO excited to be making her Spotlight debut as “Shelley” in this amazing production of Bat Boy. She is a Staten Island born, South Florida raised actress, singer/songwriter, producer, & theater educator currently based out of SI! Select credits include: Kinky Boots (Lauren), Little Women (Amy), Baby (Lizzy), & more! When she is not performing you can find her working as a freelance performance coach around NYC, creating content for her theater tik tok, and producing radio plays with her company, Braving The Bard on Spotify. Alan Gonzalez (Pan/Sherrif)
Alan is a proud genderfaer, Mexican puppeteer and "strong mover” from El Paso, TX. Favorite roles include: Pablo (Sister Act - Arizona Broadway Theatre), The Wolf…and Cinderella’s Prince and Rapunzel’s Prince, AND Cinderella’s Stepmother #swinglife! (Into The Woods), Black Stache (Peter and the Starcatcher). Theatre is collaborative and was never created in a vacuum. At its best, it reflects the society in which it is created. Alan believes in collaborating through a queer, feminist, anti-ableist, body-positive, and actively anti-racist lens. Shayne Vasquez (Rick/Dillon)
Shayne Vasquez is incredibly excited to be working with the Spotlight Theater Company! Shayne has worked vigorously to perfect his craft while performing in various high scale shows such as Sunday in The Park with George, Les Miserables, etc.
Meggan Audrey (Ron/Maggie/Clem)
Meggan Audrey is so excited to be back with her Spotlight family! Meggan has become a choreographer at Spotlight for the past few years working on Chicago, Legally Blonde and making a directorial debut with The Lion King, Jr. Favorite Performance Credits: Newsies (Spotlight Repertory), Footloose (Surflight), The Producers (Woodstock Playhouse), Chicago (Forestburgh Playhouse), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Weathervane Theatre). Thank you to Jacques, Mary Lee and the entire cast and crew! Love to Mom, Dad, James and Brad.
Apryl Higgins (Ruthie/Ned)
Apryl Higgins (they/them) is super hype to be returning to their Spotlight Rep family! Previous Spotlight credits include Robyn Hood, Violet, Matilda, and Fierce Females. In addition to their work at Spotlight, they’ve done lots of things lots of places. Highlights have included singing in Antarctica and the North Pole within less than a year, performing at Tokyo Disneyland with Mickey Mouse, and singing for their cats (and hundreds of people) on their Twitch channel in dozens of digital productions. Favorite roles include: Squeaky Fromme in Assassins, Annabel in Lucky Stiff, and Mary Lane in Reefer Madness. Follow me on all the relevant social media @aprylanonymous
Carl Gordon (Bud/Institute Man/Reverend(US)/Ensemble)
Carl Gordon is very excited to be part of another Spotlight production. Previously, he was part of Spotlight's Summer Intensive of Hair last summer. He is currently attending the College of Staten Island, studying Drama. Carl would like to thank the entire Spotlight crew and the cast of this amazing show for all of their work. He would also like to thank his friends and family for continuing to support him along his theater journey. Carl is the understudy for The Reverend.
Matthew Homme (Roy/Ensemble)
Matthew Homme, 19, is currently a student at CSI, he will be with spotlight for 3 years in August. Other shows he has been in are School of rock with Spotlight (Mason), Once upon a mattress with Susan E Wagner High-school (Prince Harry), Chicago with Spotlight (Billy Flynn), and 25th annual Putnam county spelling bee with spotlight (William Barfée). Along with acting he has also started working with lights on some recent productions with spotlight, those being Anne With An E, High School Musical, Aristocats kids and Bat Boy. He would like to thank Mary Lee and Jaques for the opportunity and pleasure to work with such an amazing pool of talent, and would like to thank his family and friends for all their love and support.
Ash Farley (Daisy/Pan (US)/Ensemble)
Being in this show has been a dream of mine, and I’m so incredibly grateful to be a part of this! From the music to the storyline I have fallen in love with this show, and working with all these amazing people to bring it to life is so much fun! Enjoy the show! Ash is the understudy for Pan
Sidney Humes-James (Doctor/Ensemble)
Sidney Humes-James is a senior vocal major at LaGuardia High School and will be attending SUNY Cortland in the fall to receive a BFA in Musical Theatre. Her favorite shows are Legally Blonde and Sweeney Todd. She is super excited to be doing her third Spotlight Repertory Theatre show.
River Timbreza  (Young Edgar)
River has been in seveal Spotlight Theatre productions. Some of his past roles have included: Charlie in Willi Wonka Jr, Sultan in Alladin Jr., A Thespian in High School Musical Jr, Grimsby in Little Mermaid Jr. and Narrator in 101 Dalmatians! He is a 7th Grader in St Clare School. River is passionate in the Grappling Arts of Judo, Jujitsu, Wrestling and an Advocate of Children and Animal Rights.
Lexi Paolino (Young Meredith/Ensemble)
Lexi is so excited to be returning to Spotlight Repertory Theatre this summer for another show! She has been seen in their productions of Mamma Mia!, Matilda, Newsies, Robyn Hood, and her most favorite, School of Rock, where she played Summer. Other favorite credits include: Little Women (Beth), Miracle on 34th Street (Susan), Mary Poppins (Michael Banks), and 13 The Musical (Lydia). She is currently studying screenwriting and creative writing at Pace University. You can catch a glimpse of her on the new season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as a 1960s teen. Lexi absolutely loves working with the Spotlight family, and is so honored to be performing with such a talented cast. Much love to Mary, Jacques, and all involved!
Athena Molina  (Lorraine/Ensemble)
Athena is an incoming senior at Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts and just recently starred as Maggie Winslow in their spring production of A Chorus Line. Her enjoyment of this production has gone past her expectations and they can’t wait for you to come and enjoy the show with them! @athena_1119
Jacques Stewart (Reverend)
Jacques Stewart is an award-winning director, choreographer, writer, and performer. He is the Artistic Director for Spotlight Theatre Staten Island and ArtBridge in Antigua, Guatemala. He is the former Artistic Director of The Weathervane Theatre in New Hampshire where he founded WINDSOCK Theatre camp for children and the Weathervane College Intern Program. He is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association and The Stage Directors & Choreographers Society. Some of Jacques's most beloved roles include Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird and Harold Hill in The Music Man. Jacque's original musicals, Dream Big and Robyn Hood​, and Nutcracker​ have received grants from SIArts, for which he is grateful! Jacques & Mary Lee Marson Aloia are the founders of Spotlight Theatre Company.
