Jenna Becker
Jenna is a junior at Sparta High School and is thrilled to be participating in her fourth musical. She was part of the crew for Newsies and served as the Assistant Stage Manager for Grease and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Jenna has always loved working backstage and watching each production come to life, and she is especially excited to step into her first year as Stage Manager. Outside of theater, she is involved in both Prep and Varsity Show Choirs, as well as Chamber Choir. In her free time, Jenna enjoys traveling with her family and spending time with friends. She would like to thank her family, the directors, and all the incredible friends she has made through musicals.

Layton Everson
Layton is a sophomore at Sparta High School, and this will be his fourth musical production; 2 with the Sparta Spotlight Players. His past musicals were Annie Jr. (Rooster Hannigan), Freaky Friday (Fletcher), Grease (ensemble), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (crew). Layton is also involved in show choir. This will be his second musical being on crew, and his first being an assistant stage manager.

Alex McAlear
Alex is a Junior at SHS. He is also involved in The Explorer Program with the fire department, Baseball, and Band in his free time. Alex joined the crew because he enjoys the tech side of the shows. Alex has been a part of 2 musicals so far; Grease and 9 to 5.

Colby Martin
Colby is a senior and this is his 7th production with the Sparta Spotlight Players. He participates in Sparta’s Upstage Adrenaline as a singer dancer, The Backstage Beats as the drum set player for Rise of Adrenaline, Jazz Combo 2, Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band as a percussionist. As Colby enters his senior year he has looked back on his past years and would like to thank friends, family, directors, teachers, and judges who helped shape the person he is today. Now, please enjoy the Sparta Spotlight Players production of 9 to 5.

Joshua Ebert
Josh is a junior at Sparta High School. Josh has been part of 3 musical performances; Newsies, Grease, and 9 to 5. This is also Josh's 2nd year in Upstage Adrenaline as a singer and dancer. He also plays high school football, performs in the marching band as a bass drummer, figure skates for the 7 Rivers Figure Skating Club Spring Ice Show, runs a spotlight for the Seven Rivers Skating Club Winter Show, and is part of the Sparta FFA. Josh would like to thank his friends and family for supporting him through his highschool music career.

Meghan is a sophomore this year at SHS. She was backstage crew for “Grease” and now is one of the people doing spotlight for “9 to 5”. She is also involved in Student council, Marching band but is one of the Colorguard captains, Concert band, and during concert season she is in percussion. Meghan would like to personally thank her brother, Levi, for always being there for her. Plus the rest of her family and friends for always supporting her.

Camila is a senior this year at SHS. She was in backstage crew for "Addams Family" and is now doing spotlight for “9 to 5”. She is also a drum major for the marching band. She’s a part of jazz band, show band, Tennis, and Soccer.

Clara is a freshman and this is her first production at Sparta High School. They are happy that they got to be a part of something like this as well as Art Club, Band as a flute player, and Girl Scouts. Addy is a sophomore at Sparta High School this year. This is her third production with the Sparta Spotlight Players. These productions were “Grease” (ensemble) and “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” (crew member). Alongside the musical, Addy is also a singer/dancer in Sparta’s varsity show choir, Upstage Adrenaline. She would like to thank her friends and family for all of their support and encouragement.

Aurora is a freshman at Sparta High School this year. This is her first production with SHS. She is a singer/dancer for Sparta's Rise of Adrenaline. She would like to thank her Mother and Grandma for always pushing her to do her best.

PATRICIA RESNICK (Book)

Patricia Resnick has enjoyed a successful and varied career in film, television, and theatre. She wrote the original screenplay for the film 9 to 5, a comedy classic and one of the top-grossing films of all time. Under the tutelage of her mentor Robert Altman, she co-authored A Wedding (British Academy Award and Writer's Guild nominations) and Quintet starring Paul Newman. Other films include Maxie (Glenn Close) and Straight Talk, which reunited her with Dolly Parton. She has written numerous pilots for television for networks including Showtime, CBS and FX and her seven produced made for television movies include The Battle of Mary Kay starring Shirley MacLaine and Parker Posey who both gave Golden Globe-nominated performances. She was the exec producer and head writer of a series based on the children's book Olivia for the Nick Jr. network. Her theatre work includes her Drama Desk nominated book for the Broadway musical 9 to 5 which garnered four Tony nominations, sketches for Lily Tomlin's first one-woman Broadway show Appearing Nightly, and a stage musical adaptation of her own PBS movie Ladies in Waiting which originated at the Woodstock (Illinois) Summer Playhouse and later moved to the Lyric Opera House in Chicago. She worked as a consulting producer on the final season of Mad Men and on the ABC Family drama Recovery Road. She is currently working on a 9 to 5 film sequel as well as  being co-executive producer for a new Netflix show based on Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City.
