This is Robin's 19th year at South Pointe and 11th musical. She is a classically trained pianist and clarinetist, but her first love is musical theater. Robin has been in numerous shows such as West Side Story, The Music Man, and The Wizard of Oz and is also a writer and composer. She has been married for 34 years and has 2 grown sons. She hopes you love this show and the kids as much as she does!
Costume DesignSandra Newfield
This is Sandy's fifth year working with the school as Set and Costume Designer. The plays she has done include Aladdin, Elf, Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, and now this year her all time favorite, Beauty and the Beast. Sandy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. As a Wedding Planner and Floral Designer Sandra had the opportunity to be a Wedding Consultant and Floral Designer for a Movie Produced and filmed in San Dimas California. Her love of theater was sparked by that opportunity and when the chance to work with South Point as a Costume and Set Designer came her way she jumped at the opportunity to be involved with the children and the excitement of the theater again.
Assistant DirectorSara Chustz
Sara is so excited to be working on Beauty and the Beast! She is twenty years old and is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Mt. San Antonio College in the hopes of becoming a teacher. She is very passionate about the arts and graduated from the Orange County School of the Arts where she concentrated on musical theatre and production and design. Sara is thrilled to be working with the talented students of South Pointe and she hopes to come back for many productions in the future!
Costume DesignSilvia Montes De Oca
Silvia has had a lifelong passion in designing and creating costumes and clothing. She completed her apprenticeship at Mode-Atelier Haidle and attended Anna-Siemsen College in Germany. Silvia has enjoyed creating costumes for musicals, operas , film and theater in Germany, England, Belgium and the US. Throughout her career, she had the opportunity to work on movies like Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland and musicals like Starlight Express and Jospeh and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Recently her work received the Best Costume Design Award for the short film Windward Spirits: A New Ruler in the Baretower Forge World Film Competition. After getting married and having two boys she is fortunate to continue her passion from home creating costumes, wedding dresses and custom garments.
Stage ManagerPhil Wadsworth
This is Phil's 2nd production here at South Pointe. He initially started to help out his wife, Robin, but has found that he really enjoys working with the kids on stage crew. His organized nature makes him a perfect back stage manager!
Tyler has been working here at South Pointe for over 10 years and just got his degree in Geology Education. He is a part time wedding photographer with A Story in Time Photography.
