Bands:

The Barefoot Movement

Granville County natives Noah Wall and Tommy Norris are the founding members of the acclaimed alt-bluegrass/Americana outfit, The Barefoot Movement, which has carved a healthy space in the acoustic scene since their 2010 debut album, Footwork.  Their most recent release, 2024's Let It Out, finds the group exploring new musical territory, while still standing firmly on their barefoot foundation: lush harmonies, thoughtful instrumentation, and memorable melodies. Their energetic, joyous, and heartfelt live performances have garnered them fans nationwide and beyond, and earned them the 2014 IBMA Momentum Award for Band of the Year.  They have performed across the United States, Canada, and were honored to be selected for a cultural exchange tour of Burkina Faso, Africa through the US State Dept.  Throughout each incarnation of the band, Noah’s singing, songwriting, and fiddle playing serve as the backbone, while Tommy Norris’s mandolin skills supply musical dexterity to their sound.  Their performance for the Hurricane Relief Concert will feature their current guitarist Ben Howington, bassist Alan Barnosky, and drummer Austin McCall.

Bryan's Hill

Formed in 2022, Bryan’s Hill, is a powerhouse quintet hailing from Granville County, NC. Led by the charismatic Michael Bryan, this band delivers a fusion of high-octane Southern rock and heartfelt country melodies.  Backed by the rock’n beats of Jon Jon Lloyd on drums, the smooth bass lines of Wes Jordan, the sweet harmonies of Blake Hollowell on piano and harp and the searing lead guitar solos of Justin Allen, Bryan’s Hill captivates audiences with their dynamic performances and infectious energy.
