Co-Director
Britta SterlingHaving trained in stage directing under Dana Case, Britta’s keen eye for storytelling brings a unique edge to every project. Her work includes productions across opera, chamber music, and theater with companies like Independent Opera Company, Glendale Centre Theatre, Mission Opera, Savannah Symphony Chorus, and more. In addition to her directorial work, Britta made her debut as a librettist alongside Rae Shrum, having written the English libretto for Sancta Susanna. As a soprano, Britta has performed with many opera companies and choral ensembles including CSUN Opera Theater, Glendale Centre Theatre, Mission Opera, Mesopotamian Opera, Independent Opera, the Savannah Symphony Chorus, and the Roger Wagner Chorale.

Co-Director
Jessica Tivens-SchneidermanJessica Tivens-Schneiderman, has produced and directed a range of contemporary musical works; most recently, the 2024 West Coast premiere of MARY - A Musical, by Gayla Morgan and Jean Mornard, for Modern Opera Company. In the fall of 2023, she joined the board of Source/Filter Music Collective as Artistic Advisor. Her directorial debut in 2014 was Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, which she staged as the inaugural production for Modern Opera Company. She has since directed productions of Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Street Scene, The Medium, and the New York City premiere of Weiss and De Los Santos’ chamber opera, Service Provider. After relocating to Los Angeles in the summer of 2021, Ms. Schneiderman re-started Modern Opera Company with the goal of producing and directing workshops of new musical theater and operatic works.

Miloš VeljkovićMiloš is a distinguished pianist, educator, and collaborator with a prolific international career spanning Europe and the United States. Renowned for his artistry in both classical and contemporary repertoire, he has premiered and recorded numerous works, shaping the modern chamber and solo piano landscape. A former professor and department head, he has worked with esteemed institutions including UCLA, the LA Philharmonic, and AMDA. His expertise extends to opera, film scoring, and ensemble performance, with engagements aboard the MS Europa 2. Above all, he loves sharing music with others, whether on stage, in the classroom, or through new creative projects.
