Alice in Wonderland Cast

Ella Blubaugh (Alice)
Here she is ladies and gentlemen, Alice herself. Ella is just in tenth grade but she is already the lead, which is a true testament to her acting abilities. She has previously been in The Adventure of the Speckled Band and The Music Man. Her favorite class is World History because she likes learning about our history. Her favorite parts about Alice in Wonderland were the moments where the cast is just having fun. The most challenging part has been getting the English accent just right. She wishes to thank her parents, friends and Mrs. Blank.
Elaina Pugh (Catepillar)
This production is Eliana’s first play! She decided to join because she’s dramatic and she loves drama. Her favorite class is language because she loves Mrs. Kauffman. The most challenging part for her has been memorizing her lines. She isn’t sure what her future holds yet. Elaina wishes to thank everyone who encouraged her to be in drama.
Joy Cotton (Cook)
Joy is in tenth grade and has been in The Adventure of the Speckled Band as Mrs. Hudson and was also in The Music Man. She is in drama because she loves to act. Outside of drama, Joy enjoys reading because it allows her to experience different worlds. The best part about Alice in Wonderland has been growing her friends group and trying new acting skills. The most difficult part has been memorizing her lines. In the future she wants to major in Zoology. Joy wishes to thank the whole drama group especially Jovie, Katie, Ella, and Sara. She also wants to thank Mrs. Blank and her aunt and uncle for saying she was dramatic and should join drama.
Tallulah Delgado (Dormouse)
Tallulah is in sixth grade and was in Newsies Jr. as Les. She is following the footsteps of her older siblings and carrying on the Delgado Drama Legacy. For her, the best thing about drama is her fellow castmates, and the most challenging part is figuring out how to mix her character’s personality with her own. Her favorite subject is Science because she loves learning how things work. In the future, she wants to pursue a career in the Arts. She wishes to thank her family and friends, specifically AveriAnna, Ella, Mason, Ayanna, Katie, Abby, and Jake.
Ella Hurst (Duchess)
Ella is in eighth grade and she previously played Gracie Shinn in The Music Man and was also in Hotel Heaven. For her, the most challenging part of being in Alice in Wonderland has been the scheduling conflicts that she’s had to work around, but it’s been worth it to watch the show come together. She loves really diving into her characters and making up background stories. She likes all of her school subjects and her hobbies are singing and dancing. In the future, she wants to share Jesus' love with others while using her talents and doing the things that she loves. Ella wishes to thank her family, her friends Reese and Emma, and her hamster who listens to her singing.
Connor Davenport (Executioner)
Connor is in the sixth grade and is making his dramatic debut! He is really enjoying it, and he joined because he wanted first-hand experience with memorizing lines, seeing a script, and being on stage. Connor is currently looking for a hobby (if anyone has an idea see Conner after the show). In the future, Connor wants to be an actor. He is grateful to everyone who encouraged him to be in drama.
Boaz Helman (Executioner(s))
Boaz is in the sixth grade and this is his first play! He decided to join drama because he likes acting. His favorite part about Alice in Wonderland has been his friends, and the most challenging part has been attending all the rehearsals. He enjoys math and building with legos. He wants to thank his mom and Mrs. Blank for encouraging him. Boaz is still considering what he would like to do in the future.
Landon House (Executioner(s)/Frog-footman (Sat Matinee))
Landon is in the sixth grade. This is his first play and he is very excited to be a part of this one. He joined drama because his grandma's encouragment. His favorite part of the experience has been making new friends. His favorite class is drama or science. One of his hobbies is collecting cards. In the future, Landon hopes to work for Google. He wishes to thank all the people who encouraged him to be in drama.
Emme Leonard (Frog-footman (Fri & Sat evening))
Emme is in seventh grade and she is making her drama debut! She is in drama because she loves acting and mimicking a character as if it were real. Her favorite classes are language and drama because she loves writing and acting. Emme has enjoyed being in the mix of high schoolers and middle schoolers and she is excited about performing! Her dream for the future is to become a professional actor. She wishes to thank her parents for always encouraging her.
Abby Berger (Gryphon)
Abby is in eighth grade and has been in two other Shalom plays- The Adventure of the Speckled Band and The Music Man. Her favorite part of Alice in Wonderland has been becoming friends with new people, while the most challenging part has been memorizing her lines. She is in drama because she is dramatic and loves to act. Her dreams for the future are becoming an artist of some kind. She wishes to thank her mom, dad, Nana, Becca, and Ani.
Brayden Adamson (King of Hearts)
Brayden is in the sixth grade and is making his debut at Shalom! He joined because he thought it would be fun. His favorite part of Alice in Wonderland has been getting to say ‘off with her head!’ and the most difficult part has been learning all of his lines. Brayden’s favorite subject at school is science because he likes learning about the world, which makes sense, because his dream for the future is to go to Mars. He wishes to thank his parents for their support.
Eliana Priego (Knave of Hearts)
Eliana is in seventh grade and has played Wilber in Charlotte’s Web. She is in drama because she is dramatic and loves acting. Eliana is very creative and likes doing crafts. The most challenging part for her has been saying the tongue twisters during warmups because she doesn’t have them memorized. In the future, Eliana hopes to be the lead in a movie or TV show and discover a cure for cancer. She wants to thank her mom and aunt for encouraging her in her gifts.
Mason Handy (Mad Hatter)
Mason is in the tenth grade. Some of his favorite roles include Marcellus in The Music Man, Akela in The Jungle Book, and Soapy Smith in Soapy Smith’s Wintery Wish. He loves drama because he likes acting and the people. The biggest challenge for Mason has been trying to figure out the motivations of his character and learning how to make every line he says sound new and exciting. The best part has been doing his main scene with Tallulah, Ella, and Jovie. In the future, Mason hopes to get into professional E-sports and reach an Eagle Scout ranking. He would like to thank Nolin, Jonah, Wyatt, Avery, Shawn, Jovie, Audrey, and Ayanna.
Jovie Delgado (March Hare)
Jovie Delgado is in the ninth grade, and she’s already played the lead in Newsies Jr. and Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man. Jovie is involved in many activities including worship at her church. Her number one passion is singing. Her favorite thing about Alice in Wonderland is being with her friends. The most challenging part is learning an style of acting she has never done before. Jovie wants to excel at singing and acting in high school, do missionary work, and possibly go to college. She wishes to thank Selena for everything, the drama group, and her friends outside of drama (specifically Hope and Sophie). She loves you all!
Selena Zook (Mock Turtle)
Selena is in eighth grade and has been in Hotel Heaven and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She is involved in drama because she loves acting, performing on stage, and meeting new people. Selena also enjoys volleyball, and, for her, one of the most challenging parts of being in Alice in Wonderland is balancing volleyball and drama practices. Her favorite part of Alice in Wonderland has been being able to get closer to the other actors. In the future, she wishes to do something that will make others happy. Selena wants to thank all her friends and her family.
AveriAnna Shaffer (Red Queen)
AveriAnna is in tenth grade and has been in The Music Man as Zaneeta Shinn, The Adventure of the Speckled Band, and The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast. Drama has always been her passion and over the years she has really found herself in the arts. Her favorite classes are Biology and Spanish. She enjoys growing her friendships in drama and making memories, and it has been challenging for her to figure out how to play her character. Her goals for the future include college and continuing a career in the arts. She wishes to thank her friends for all their support, Mrs. Blank for seeing her potential, Ms. Wolfe, and her family.
Sara Beard (Tweedledee)
Sara is in tenth grade and was previously in The Music Man as Maud Dunlop. The reason she is in drama this year is because she liked it last year and “once you start, you can’t stop.” Her favorite class is Chorale because she enjoys music. Her hobbies include playing different instruments and archery. The most challenging part about Alice in Wonderland has been the time commitment, but it has been worth it because she is able to do something she enjoys with her friends. She plans to go to college for Music Education and minor in Global Studies. She wishes to thank her fellow drama students for pushing her to do her best.
Katie Montoro (Tweedledum)
Katie is in the tenth grade and this is her first play! She has wanted to join drama for years, and now seemed like the perfect time for her to start. The most challenging part was memorizing her lines, and she enjoyed getting closer to the cast and tapping into her silly side. Her favorite class is science and her favorite hobby is reading. She wishes to thank her mom, dad and sister, also Ayanna and Averianna for their support.
Ayanna Hess (White Queen)
Ayanna is in tenth grade and has a VERY impressive acting resume, including Helen Stoner in The Adventure of the Speckled Band and Mama Paroo in The Music Man. She is in drama because of the opportunity and the friendships. Her favorite classes are Biology and Chorale. The best thing about Alice in Wonderland is watching people grow in their acting abilities and comfort zones. Her dreams for the future are to pursue architecture, science and acting. She wishes to thank her mom, dad, and best friend for always being there for her.
Jake Smith (White Rabbit)
Jake is in the ninth grade and has been in two previous plays: Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and The Enchanted Bookshop. He enjoys acting, and the best part about Alice in Wonderland is that he picked up three more accents he never knew he could do. The most challenging part has been learning his lines. Jake’s favorite subject is Geography because he loves studying maps. In the future, Jake wants to be a pilot. He wishes to thank his mother and grandmother.
