Vita & Virginia dramatizes the passionate, intellectual, and deeply influential relationship between writer Virginia Woolf and poet Vita Sackville-West, highlighting themes of desire, artistic expression, and defying social conventions. Vita & Virginia illuminates the complexities of love and artistic collaboration between two women in early 20th-century England. Beyond its historical significance, this play is also contemporary in exploring the complexities of identity, power, art, and desire -- issues that resonate profoundly today. Woolf’s questioning of gender fluidity and Vita’s struggle with societal constraints speak directly to our current conversations about identity and self-determination.
