Player/Manson Trio/Featured Dancer/Dance Captain (Katie Anderson )For Katie Anderson (Junior), this is her 8th show with the SDA theatre program. She has loved being a part of Pippin as a player, Manson Trio, and one of the Dance Captains. Katie also does theatre outside of school through Ovation Theatre. Additionally, Katie loves working with lights, as she was just Master Electrician in Clue and Little Women. She would like to thank her fellow Dance Captains, Ellory and Brandon, for being such a fun team to work with.
Player (Julia Atkins )For Julia Atkins (Junior), this is her first time ever performing live for an SDA musical. Julia has been in countless other musical theater productions outside of school. In Pippin she is one of the "players", specifically the aerial silks artist. She also helped make the Pippin poster, and your playbill cover art. In her free time she dances traditional Mexican Folklorico, does karate, field hockey, painting, and learned aerial silks for this production.
Berthe (Kai Betita )Kai Betita (Junior) is very excited to be playing Berthe in SDA Theatre's production of Pippin. He has had so much fun working on the show and hopes you enjoy it! Now pay attention and take it all in, because the show will be over in just "no time at all".
Player (Mathew Colbourne )Matthew Colbourne (Senior) is so thrilled to be a part of his first real musical. He has been a part of SDA Theatre since his freshman year. He has done both acting and tech. He was the Motorist, Backup Cop, and Publicity Manager of CLUE: On Stage. He has also been a part of Little Women, the Advanced Drama Honors Show. In his spare time, he likes to cook and go to the beach.
Player (Mila Ellis )For Mila Ellis (Sophomore), this is her first time performing in a SDA show! She has been performing since she was 5 years old. She’s been in countless productions, most recently Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella as The fairy godmother and Annie as Miss Hannigan. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Lewis/Mansion Trio/Featured Dancer/Dance Captain (Brandon Feffer)Brandon Feffer (Senior) is ecstatic to take part in his final high school musical, Pippin! He is also currently the officer of public relations for SDA's Thespian Troupe (@sdathespians). Most recently, Brandon played Laurie in Little Women and Mr. Green in Clue! He has previously been in SDA Theatre productions including Mamma Mia, which went on to win the Broadway San Diego Award for Best Musical in 2019! Brandon also has enjoyed multiple positions on the technical side of theater, his favorite being a Co-Costume Designer in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Player (Sophia Funicello)For Sophia Funicello (Junior), Pippin marks her third show at SDA this year. Some of her more notable credits include Matilda and Freaky Friday (Ovation Theater Company), Julius Caesar (The Firebird Project, NYC), and Clue! (SDA). Most recently she appeared as Amy in SDA’s production of Little Women.
Player (Elena Garcia )Elena Garcia (Sophomore) plays the role of the snake lady in the musical play: Pippin. With a little experience in the theater, she loves to try new things. A tenth grader in S.D.A, Elena is an artistic soul, with a love for art, writing, and baking. Her supporters are her mother, father, younger brother, and her dog.
Player (Ben Koesling)Ben Koesling (Sophomore) is in the Light Crew. He recently worked as spotlight operator in "You're in a Good Man Charlie Brown" for CCT. This will be his first production at SDA. For fun, he likes to participate in musicals for various different production companies. He wants to thank his parents for always supporting what he does.
Charles (Finley Louch)Finley Louch (Senior)(Charles) is excited to be in the show Pippin at SDA Theatre. His most recent show was A Midsummer Night's Dream as Demetrius. Finley Is a Senior at SDA and he thinks that whoever is reading this is pretty cool. For fun, Finley hangs out with friends, learns random tricks/skills, plays sports and music, and does ComedySportz. You can find Finley in ComedySportz games once or twice a month, and he's very sure you're going to love the production. Special shoutout to all the awesome people in tech that made the acting and singing more fun to watch!!
Player (Aidan Marquez )Aidan Marquez (Junior) is interested in acting as a possible career. He finds it fun to play a character and develop the character's personality, emotions, and motivations in the context of the play or movie. He has participated in several summer camp productions and with Intrepid Theatre. More recently he played the roles of King Harold and Farquad's soldiers in Shrek the Musical put on by Oceanside Theatre. He really enjoyed being in Shrek and learned many great acting lessons including teamwork with the other players. His hobbies are gaming, acting and hanging out with friends. His hopes for this show are that it goes well, as well as everyone trying their best.

She also has done several Ovation Theatre productions such as Anything Goes, Freaky Friday, Footloose, and Matilda. She is a part of SDA's Thespian troupe, Comedy Sportz team, and dances competitively, sings, and loves to hang out with her friends! She wants to thank everyone involved, and hopes you enjoy watching the show as much as she does :)
Player/Rehearsal Captain (Rosie McConnell )Rosie McConnell (Sophomore) is ecstatic about unicycling in Pippin as well as her other, less admirable, roles in the show. She is currently a sophomore and has been doing theatre her entire life. Rosie student-directed and assistant-stage-managed SDA's last fall production, Clue, and has been attached to this school's theatre program ever since. She hopes you enjoy her performance, as well as the rest of this amazing show!
Pippin (Keegan McGowan )Keegan McGowan (Junior) is so grateful for the opportunity to play the role of Pippin. He has been welcomed into SDA theatre with open arms and has been participating in performances since he was 7 years old. He has continued to gain a great passion for the art of theatre, and he can't wait to continue his acting career with this production of Pippin.
Catherine (Lena Medak)Lena Medak (Junior) is very excited to be a part of Pippin with SDA’s Musical Theater class. Her most recent performance was playing ensemble in Something Rotten with Ovation theatre. In her free time, Lena enjoys baking, drawing, and roller skating with friends. She wants to thank Mrs. Siers, Pam, and Susie for making this show possible.
Player (Christa Mellina-Gottardo)Christa Mellina Gottardo (Junior) is so excited to be part of another musical production! This will be her seventh show at SDA and her eighth musical production overall. Her past favorite shows include Something Rotten and Clue. In her free time, she loves to play piano, practice singing and dance, do art, and spend time with friends. She knows this show will be amazing and loves working with everyone in class! The cast and crew are working super hard and are so talented, since we're putting it on in just no time at all :)
Theo (Keenan Michal Loft )This is the story of Keenan Michal Lofft, (Freshman)((me)Theo) who is currently in the play, Pippin. Keenan has only been in a few plays, but he has enjoyed them very much. He had a previous minuscule role in Peter Pan added only to accept more people, and he had a named role in The Lion King. Both of these experiences he enjoyed very much. When he was younger, he took quite a few private voice lessons because his parents thought he had a good voice, this was also the motivation for him to start his acting career. Keenan would like to thank his parents for starting his career and supporting him throughout.
Player (Mariana Minger )Mariana Minger (Junior) is extremely excited to be working on Pippin! She was on the costume crew for Clue in the fall and is a part of the ensemble for Pippin. She is the president of Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and is thrilled for you all to see the show!
Fastrada (Mallory Oien )Mallory Oien (Junior) is incredibly grateful to be performing live with SDA Theater! Most recently, Mallory was seen playing Jo March in SDA's production of Little Women, but she has been performing with various local theater companies since she was young. When Mallory's not in the theater, you can probably find her at field hockey practices, film club meetings, or surfing around the local breaks. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Player (Skippy Parson )Skippy Parsons (Sophomore) is really excited to be apart of Pippin. He is happy that the players have a lot to do so he never taking a break. His hobbies are baking meals that don't always end up the best and same goes for his art.
Player (Rory Price )Rory has taken part in countless SDA performances and shows-- primarily involved in lighting tech work! She adores the theatre and undoubtedly has a soft spot for the tech side of shows but is endlessly impressed with the actors and the fantastic job they do bringing our visions to life. In her free time she spends her time foraging for fungi, growing mushrooms, avidly reading, and baking. Rory hopes you enjoy the show and asks that you please stay poLIGHT<3
Player (Kai Tesan)Kai Tesan (Junior) currently attends San Dieguito Highschool at his third year. He enjoys video games, film, comics, and his favorite genre of books are Mystery/Thrillers. This is his third show with the SDA theatre and has enjoyed each one immensely. He has taken theatre classes for all three years and has grown and learned alot from each production he been in. While this is the first musical Kai has done with SDA, he has been in few outside productions with ovation theatre. Kai has had a wonderful time growing and learnng as a actor throughout his time with SDA and can't wait to do more.
Leading Player (Isabella Thierry)Isabella Thierry (Senior) couldn't be more honored to be playing one of her dream roles in her final SDA musical. Some of her past credits include Marmee in Little Women (San Dieguito Academy) and Carmen Bernstein in Curtains (Ovation Theatre). When not on stage, she enjoys taking voice lessons, dancing, reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family. She wants to thank Mrs. Siers, Pamela Laurent, and Susie Dycus for giving her this opportunity and allowing her to grow as an artist through playing this role, as well as the cast and crew of Pippin for all of their hardwork and dedication to this production. After graduating, Isabella plans to take a gap year and then attend a four year university in the fall of 2023, where she’ll major in communication studies and minor in theater.
Player (Emma Townsend )Emma Townsend (Sophomore) is excited to debut in SDA theater's production of Pippin. She has been interested in theater and music as long as she can remember, taking an offered acting class at SDA and at Oak Crest Middle School, and in the past dabbling in piano and drums, but mainly sticking with the ukulele. Music and art has been a large part of her life, so she is thrilled to participate in a big show. She would like to thank her family and friends, but especially her mom for being so encouraging.
Player (Ayda Walsey)Ayda Walsey (Sophomore) can't wait to perform in Pippin with SDA's theatre! In the past with SDA, she worked in Mythoulouges as Arete, was a scenic charge artist for Clue, and the sound board operator for Little Women. She is so excited to work with such a wonderful group of actors and technicians!
Player/Rehearsal Captain (Ava Welcher )Ava Welcher (Sophomore) is thrilled to be in SDA's production of Pippin! This year, she was a Student Director for Clue and an Assistant Stage Manager for Clue, the Original One Act Festival, and Little Women. Some of her previous acting credits include playing Mary in Mary Poppins, Little Red in Into the Woods, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland. Ava hopes you love the show and all of the magic the cast and crew put into it!
