Holly Rose

Holly is thrilled to be able to work with such wonderfully talented theatre artists and volunteers here at Rosebud! Recently, Holly was honored with the ‘Inspirational Teacher Award” bestowed by Washington Thespians, a division of the International Thespian Society. Some of Holly's credits include performing in A Narrow Bed (Wings Theatre, NYC), dancing alongside Smashmouth (Radio City Music Hall, NYC) and playing “Benten” in the World Premiere of The Kyogen Rope (O’Malley Theatre, Chicago). You may have seen her locally as Aunt Rose in Wild Mushrooms (Renton Civic Theatre) or as Gabriella in Boeing Boeing (Tacoma Little Theatre). Some local directing credits outside of Rosebud include I Hate Hamlet (Knutzen Family Theatre), If Spiders Made Honey (Burien Little Theatre), and A Very Lovely Dress (Stone Soup Theatre). Holly also enjoys being involved in the vibrant Northwest film community. Some recent projects, Kanashimi and Waiting for Exit (both film festival nominees). Holly has directed numerous workshops and theatre productions throughout Minnesota, Chicago, and NYC. As the Drama teacher at Federal Way High School, Holly directs the fall play and spring musical. This year at state, the show cutting of the fall play You Can’t Take it With You won an EXCELLENT Award. Holly would like to give a special thank you to all the Theatre Artists and their families for helping to keep this dream of live theatre alive for everyone! Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University; Performance Certificate, American Musical & Dramatic Academy NYC; Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in Project Management, Keller Graduate School of Management.

Music Director

Megan Gonzalez

Megan is grateful for the opportunity to join Rosebud’s creative team to collaborate with its wonderfully skilled artists! She was last seen on stage as Jo March in Little Women (Rosebud CTC) and Professor Callahan in Legally Blonde (Rosebud CTC). Behind the scenes, she has written and music directed a one-act musical for the Bellarmine Prep 2019 Dramafest, interned as assistant director for Music Theater Wichita’s youth Encanto class, and stage managed Hairy Tale Rock with Rosebud CTC. Megan has always been fascinated with pit orchestras, and made her debut on alto saxophone, flute, and clarinet for Rosebud’s production of The Addams Family. She looks forward to making music with the young artists this summer! Education: Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Wichita State University.

Choreographer

Annie Toro!

Annie is thrilled to be working with Holly and the Rosebud program. She has previously worked with Holly at PSMT and TJHS. She treasures her time in Musical Theatre starting in her teenage years with Summer Stock and has danced in shows ever since as well as becoming a Choreographer early on. She has toured with the top Elvis impersonator on the west coast for 10 years as the choreographer and lead dancer and choreographed at most Seattle theatres over the years as well as theatres in Arizona, California and more. She is thrilled to be able to pair her love of Musical Theatre and joy of teaching/working with kids on the same project. She has been in shows at and choreographed at many Seattle theatres over the years, but her greatest joy is creating a magical experience for these kids, doing shows and helping nourish the bond these theatre kids will have for the rest of their lives.

Costumer

Michele Graves

Michele has been the costume designer for RCTC for many years as well as being the Resident Costume Designer for Tacoma Little Theatre for the past 10 years. She enjoys working on mainstage and summer youth productions. Her passion for costuming both adult and youth actors shines through the actors' performances when portraying their characters in the shows. She has watched many of the young actors at RCTC grow from the preteen program to the teen program and is impressed with how their acting, singing, and dancing skills have progressed.

Stage Manager

Ellie Rutt

Ellie has been working with Rosebud as the stage manager for nearly a decade. She’s thrilled they aren’t sick of her yet! Ellie’s stage management work also includes ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ (Tacoma Little Theater), ‘The Glitter Gals’ (Rick Elsea), and ‘Ragtime’ (Lakewood Playhouse). When she isn’t spending all of her time doing theatre, she enjoys archery, gaming, and all things fandom. She wants to thank her family for always supporting her, especially her husband and two cats for putting up with her crazy schedule. Enjoy the show!

Stage Alliance Ovation Award, a Drama Desk Award, a Theatre World Award, and a Tony Award. He is also co-creator of the critically acclaimed dramatic series Slings & Arrows. Don McKellar

Don McKellar was born on 17th August 1963 in Toronto, Canada. Beginning his career in the theatre at a young age McKellar co-founded Childs Play Theatre, and went on to study English and theatre at the University of Toronto. In 1989, he co-founded the Augusta Company with Daniel Brooks and Tracy Wright, then moved into feature films writing the screenplay for Bruce McDonald's film 'Roadkill' (1989).

McKellar has continually collaborated on and produced engaging and provocative work in film, TV and theatre - whether acting, writing, directing or all three. He made his directorial debut in 1992 with two short films, 'Blue' (starring David Cronenberg) and 'Bloody Nose', then in 1998 completed 'Last Night', his feature directing debut (which he also wrote and4 starred in), for which he won the Prix de la Jeunesse at the Cannes Film Festival. He continued directing with his TV series 'Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays' in 2012 and is currently working on a remake of La Grande Séduction'.

He has numerous screenwriting credits to his name including the screen adaptation of 'Blindness' from Nobel Prize–winning author José Saramago's novel, co-writing the critically acclaimed 'Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould', 'Red Violin' and Bruce McDonald's early films 'Roadkill' and 'Highway 61'.

Particularly memorable for his acting roles as anti-hero,TV-watching agoraphobic Curtis in 2 seasons of 'Twitch City', voicing the character 'Jack' in 5 seasons of Odd Job Jack and as pretentious theatre director Darren Nicholls in 'Slings and Arrows'. McKellar has even covered the musical genre with his co-written play 'The Drowsy Chaperone' which won him a Tony Award, touring Toronto, London and New York and currently has plans to create another musical.
