Mark Mazzarella, Writer, Producer

Mark Mazzarella, the founder of RYT and is an Emmy® Award Winning writer, known for his PBS documentary, Stories of The American Puppet, the first documentary to chronicle the history of American Puppetry. He’s also a two-time Tony® Award Nominee for Excellence in Theatre Education creating a nationally renowned high school theatre program. His career has spanned theatre, televsion and film. He has written, produced and directed over hundreds of productions including educational films, TV, documentaries and stage productions worldwide. Beisdes his work as artistic director for Revolutionary Youth Theatre,  he also serves as the Director of Performing and Fine Arts at St. Paul Catholic High School.

Sean P. Pallatroni, Composer/Lyricist

​Sean P. Pallatroni is an EMMY® Award winning composer, songwriter, director and pianist. Originally from Bedford NH, he has studied performing arts at the Derryfield School under the direction of Laurel Devino, and completed his undergraduate degree in Music Composition at the Hartt School of Music Dance Theatre (University of Hartford, West Hartford CT). Sean has written for musical theatre, classical chamber ensembles, jazz, choir, and orchestra. His musical “Happily” was premiered in February 2017 in New York City, and winner of "Best Score" at the NYWinterfest Theatre Festival. He has also coaches and musically directs numerous shows in Connecticut and New York. Sean has scored programs for Connecticut Public Television, including the shows “Empowering Connecticut,” “Infinity Hall Live,” and “All Things Connecticut.”. He has also worked on the short film "Twenty Minutes" and various commercial and multimedia scoring projects. Sean is the recipient of Hartt’s “Edward Diamente Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Composition,” and winner of the 2010 Alabama Orchestra Association’s Composition Competition for his work “When the Grass Was Still Green.”

Darren Butler, Script Consultant

​Darren Butler is an international award winning writer. For over thirty years, Darren has written, directed, and taught for stage and film. For twenty-one years, Darren directed The Miracle Worker at Helen Keller’s Birthplace. This internationally recognized production is the Official Outdoor Drama for the State of Alabama. Darren wrote and directed the short film, A Fix, starring the late Skye McCole Bartusiak and Emmy nominated actress Julianna Mauriello (“Stephanie” from Lazytown). In 2006, Darren was fortunate enough to have an hour long drama entitled, Succession, optioned by NBC/ Universal, which gained his admittance into the Writers Guild of America. Today, he serves as the Director of The Conservatory of Fine Arts for Orange Beach High School and Middle School, where Darren also serves as the theatre teacher and artistic director. Darren holds an MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage from Point Park University’s Conservatory for the Performing Arts.
