About Footloose the Musical

Get ready to cut loose and rediscover the power of community with Popovsky Performing Arts Studio's summer production of "Footloose!" This high-energy musical follows the story of Ren McCormack, a city teenager who moves to the small town of Bomont, where dancing and rock music have been banned. As Ren challenges the town’s oppressive rules, he encounters resistance, but his actions also spark a journey of collective healing.

Featuring a cast of 31 talented local performers ages 13- adult, our unique production emphasizes the restorative power of community, showcasing how recognizing and addressing each other's brokenness can lead to profound transformation and unity. With unforgettable music, dynamic choreography, and a heartwarming message, "Footloose" promises an exhilarating and deeply moving theatrical experience. Join us as we celebrate resilience, freedom, and the joy of coming together through dance!

Footloose is directed by Cody Allyn Page, with choreography by Rebecca Gentry and music direction provided by A. Scott Williams.
