Cris Eli Blak
Cris Eli Blak is an award-winning and internationally-produced writer for the page, stage and screen. His work has garnered him a Bronze Remi from the Worldfest Houston International Film and Video Festival, the Christopher Hewitt Award in Fiction, a Pushcart Prize nomination and honors and recognition from The Negro Ensemble Company, Austin Film Festival, Barrington Stage Company, TEDxBroadway, Ignition Arts, Louisville Arts Network, Kentucky Playwrights Workshop, Vectis Radio and A is For. His work has been produced, performed and/or published around the world, from Off-Broadway (Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, Urban Stages), London (The Queen's Company, Flawstate), Canada (Ryerson Community Theatre) and Ireland (Eva's Echo Theatre Company). He is developing new work with American Stage, Company One, Derby City Playwrights and Et Alia Theater. He was the resident playwright at Fosters Theatrical Artists Residency and the Paterson Performing Arts Development Council, received a fellowship through Broadway Across America/Black Theatre Coalition, and was shortlisted for the Alpine Fellowship Theatre Prize. He continues to strive to create work that reflects the world that we live in, with all of its different and diverse colors, creeds and cultures.

Willow James
Willow James is a Chicagoland-based theatre artist, photographer, and podcast producer. He is passionate about new works and amplifying the voices of historically underserved communities– which influence his careers in acting, directing, and sound design. Most recent credits include Late, A Cowboy Song (Wirtz Center at Northwestern University), WHITE (Definition Theatre) and Magnolia Ballet (Phoenix Theatre Indianapolis). He’s also worked with Artemisia Theatre (where he is Resident Sound Designer), Pegasus Theatre, Redtwist Theatre, Perceptions Theatre, Stage Left Theatre and others. Genoveva Vargas
Genoveva is a multidisciplinary artist and designer. She has worked for non for profit organizations Such as The Bushwick Starr, El Puente and The Tank. This is her third production with Pocket Theatre VR, her first one being Epinicion written by Cianja Bone followed by Octo and Cleo by Maria Arreola.

Stage Manager
Monica Zaragoza
Monica Zaragoza (she/her) is from the Southwest side of Chicago, Illinois, and is a recent graduate of Roosevelt University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Women's and Gender Studies. Monica's love for theatre came from her experience in high school, in which she was a techie and stage manager in ten productions, and directed various scenes and monologues for class assignments. Her stage managing credits include productions of Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Outsiders. Monica also is passionate about writing poetry, photography, and painting, and currently is working on a photo series to be published on her art-based Instagram. Monica is extremely grateful to be working with Pocket Theatre VR during this production and excited about the main focus of social justice and accessibility of the arts that Pocket Theatre VR works towards. She will be continuing her education and pursuing a Masters degree at Columbia University in New York this upcoming fall.
