In 2013 students from Wilcox County High School in Wilcox County, Georgia, hosted their own integrated prom - not sponsored by parents or school, who at the time maintained their history of throwing a segregated prom. Martha feels they’ve had a victory, but Keshawn is frustrated by the lack of meaningful change.

We believe that art is inherently political. We strive to create accessible works that inspire social justice change in our communities and remove traditional elitist barriers in theatre.

We recognize that theatre is systemically racist and we hold ourselves accountable to focus on the future of theatre - internally, and in our productions, to provide diversity and inclusion.
